Just fine? He was a top pick. I don't think teams had concerns on his personality. In fact it was famously reported that the decision for us was between Zeke and Ramsey and Jason pushed for the RB. So we obviously didn't have an issue either.

I get that aspect. My counterpoint is that Marinelli probably would've misused him to a point where he would've demanded a trade.

I can't wait for his redemption workout videos this summer.
I thought Zeke probably should have joined the Michael Johnson Program to try to recapture his high hurdle agility and burst ..instead working with Skip Hicks ...

Wonder if they cut him and let him test the market and sign him to a new contract. Or what the lowball offer was that his dumb bunny agent turned down. His agent is the one that had him set out 2 years early on his renewal. They will still have to pay him. How much.

Hard to believe it's come to this ... and the guy is only 27 yrs of age.

Should have had a Adrian Peterson like Hall of Fame career here ... but Garrett led him to a super fast decline ...
His body physiology wasn't conducive to a long super productive NFL career. His metabolism slowed down as it will, and he lost his burst. Still an above average player just not worth the price tag.

(sigh) ...No more " FEED ME " signs ...... :(
What a drop off in production. They better get Dak a FB or someone that can pick up a block for him. Pollard might have that burst (or he did before the last injury) but lacks in blocking.

As Cowboys fans we tend to make Icons out of RBs, we have had a few great ones like Emmitt, Dorsett.
Cant put Zeke at that level but a lot of us did.
Smart teams have dismissed the iconic value of the RB position and know when to draft and move on.
Thanks for giving your best Zeke, but it was time for this franchise to move in a different direction.
Lets hope Gibbs falls to us.

I think he’ll retire. He’s like the slowest back in the league now. Backs are not in shortage. Nobody will pick him up. Invest that $ Zeke, don’t blow it’

I don't have that sentimental gene. All I know is a huge albatross has been lifted off the offense.

Maybe I'll find it in me later on to weep for a multi-millionaire 27 year old with a college degree.
I don’t agree with a lot of your takes, but I do share your sentiment here. Well said.

Can he take his friend with him? go play with water guns somewhere else?

Pollard triggered the whole thing; without him we would be stuck with Zeke just as we are with Dakota.
