This also shows the incompetence, arrogance and shadiness of the NFL when they argue "regular season" also means playoffs.

I don't think in all their arrogance they ever thought they'd face a challenge in court here and it would get this far. So they wrote the letter as sloppily as they did.

Their incompetence comes in because they could have protected themselves by simply stating in the letter regular and postseason games. But they didn't. Because they are stupid.

And finally, their shadiness comes in as they now appear to want to retroactively change the parameters of the punishment they handed down and defined, clearly, in their letter.

It's amazing how sloppy they were with their wording. Obviously they said "regular season" so that the preseason would not count but they neglected to say "regular and post-season games".
