What money is he throwing away? Isn't the NFLPA footing the bill?
Even so, wouldn't you have to equate "loss revenue (lifetime endorsements) vs legal fees". I would guess the endorsements out weigh the legal fees.
I think some guys within NFLPA were paid off under the table to accept that CBA...
Eh just accept it zeke.
Smarten up
I would not make that assumption. First of all, it's done in the Federal Courts. As was mentioned previously, he would have to pursue this further with a Civil Court Case. I am uncertain if the NFLPA would pay for that. I suspect they would not but under no circumstances would I assume that they would. I think the endorsements are going to do what they do because unless something radical changes, Zeke is going to begin serving his 6 games here very soon. A Civil case is going to take awhile and by that time, the damage is either done or not.
He fought the good fight. He would be best served, in all phases IMO, to simply accept the situation, learn from it and move on. The longer his focus is on this, the worse it is for him. He has a limited amount of time to be great on the Field. If he is truly great, all of this gets swept under the rug and it's like it never happened. I've seen it over and over again. However, if he lets this continue to live, continue to breath, if his focus is on this and he is not the same player, this becomes the story for the rest of his life. The whole "What could have been" story becomes the written word on his career. He will never win completely because he's already lost on this first trial, after appeal. Think back to Hardy, he was never convicted and yet, he is guilty in the eyes of the public. How much are people really going to care, even if he wins in a Civil Court? It gets mentioned for a couple days and then it's gone.
To me, the only way he gains redemption is if he gains greatness on the field. JMO

Respectively disagree 100%. Plus, I would not sit back and let some pieces of crap in NY railroad me and tarnish my name.
If it was you, you would just give up and basically plead guilty to such a horrendous charge that smears your name? Something you, your family and possible children would have to carry on forever? I have a hard time believing that just from the quality and voracity of how you debate on this site.
But hey, maybe you would just roll over, I mean I really don't know you that well.
It is really easy for people not being branded a domestic abuser to say, just take your punishment.
That law needs to be changed. What can we do as Americans to get it changed?Of course, the entiit. e court confirmation of the arbitral decision thing that allows the employer to control the venue is sanctioned by federal labor law. Thank Congress for that one.

Hey, maybe ABQ would just take his punishment, it might be easier for him to take it instead of fight. Not everybody reacts the same to these types of situations.
I know if I were innocent and being railroaded, they'd get both barrels back and then some.
I started last night......
Ha!! Innocent. Interesting word!! Everybody is guilty of something.

While you speak the truth, non-Cowboys fans have already made their minds up about Zeke and feel he is an abuser; no matter what.
Sadly, this is the world in which we live.

Almost as easy as it is for message board posters to understand what it's costing Zeke, or could cost Zeke, in terms of money and career.
The law is really not to blame here. There is a contract and terms of the contract stipulate what each side agreed to. The only ones who can really make changes, in terms of how this played out, are the Players and the Owners. The Law really had very little to do with this.
