Twitter: Zeke Looking Lean

so paid $90M for a RB who barely, barely barely crossed 1000 yards (yes by only 2 yards in a 17 game season) and averaged 4..2 yards, good for 26th th in the league among RBs and its not a one year thing...the year before didn't reach a 1000, was 11th in the league, was 37th in the league in YPC for RBs...and now we are celebrating him having lost weight and looking slimmer..... what in the heck!?

Restructure? He would need to take a pay cut. All a restructure does is kick more money down the road when Zeke will be getting older and less effective.

If the Cowboys want cap relief they either have to get him to take a pay cut or just cut him.

He's already there

Along with 2 injuries and a blown up Oline

How many yards do you expect from him this year?

We all know what comes next. He did last year blah blah blah. He was great last year. Great. Until a knee injury that 99% of humans would miss games with, he might’ve lead the league in rushing if not for the injury. He lead the team in explosive runs ripe to the knee injury too.

Looking thin, is he?

Has he ever felt better? Wait, don't answer, let me guess.

Would he happen to be pretty excited about the upcoming season?

How does he think the team will do this season? I'm pretty confident his answer won't be controversial.

Biadasz should prove to be better in TC, or a former C backup should replace him.
That position of our OL's future is in flux! Yet another, may be at backup LT.

I cannot help but wonder if our OL coaching might be bold enough to act upon that.

He is barely a NFL back! Hasn't produced much in college or the NFL.

The undisputed fact is Zeke at this point in his career is mostly a power back and has lost a lot of quickness and wiggle. Happens to almost every back that has been beat on for 5 plus years. No shame in it, it is what it is as Parcell's used to say. If he doesn't get beat up too badly he can certainly help us because he is indeed a back who does everything well. I suspect based on the last couple of years of work that might not happen, but certainly hope I'm wrong. This team is much much better with a good running attack, as most teams are that don't have a top two or three QB. Injuries will make or break this team this year just like it does most teams. Not sure how much depth we have right now. Doesn't appear to be a heckuva lot, but with today's salary cap most teams lack depth.

Center and LG were an issue last year as was penalties . Not every game mind you but at the most inopportune times
This team would find different ways to shoot themselves in the foot

Congratulations you are entitled to the Zeke fanboy award!! Now run along.
Oh how some people hate facts.

"Entitled to...?" Dude...I already have several stored in the closet. Your attempt at insults falls flat. A good try I suppose....TRYING to insult people for being fan of the team. Make you look REALLY in-the-know...super fan!

Zeke finally realizing that he can be easily replaced with 2nd-3rd round picks.
Bet Zeke has his career season.
If he stays healthy, the line gets their ship together...and Moore shows some interest in a serious run game...then yes for sure.

There were fans on some of the old sites who started screaming that we needed to get rid of Emmitt after 1996-1997. Those people will always be around.. Nothing to be done about them.. but ignore them. If he stays healthy Zeke will pound out 1200-1400 yards this season. My only question is can he stay healthy when 90% of his runs are right up the middle and he is asked to pass block 40 times a game...
Everyone beeches about him "seeking contact" and don't say ship about that. Has to be a brutal way to take years off a RB career.
