This season. That was the prediction from Mike Greenberg this morning on Mike and Mike. Predictions and opinions are just that but just throwing it out there. Nice to get a little love!

Well it's certainly possible if the team chooses to use Zeke the way they used McFadden last year and Murray the year before.

I would even venture to say he is a favorite if he stays healthy and gets that much usage but I do believe the team tries to preserve him a little bit but sometimes a player is just too good to take off the field. If Murray was in 2014, I'm sure Zeke will be.

One talking head indicated that we may bring back the wish bone offense with the three headed monster of Zeke, McF, and the other guy not Romo. Just saying that the back field needs some clarification before saying the next 1500 yard back will be in Dallas.

Ok.....but we ran the wheels off of Murray, with a lot of study focused on a rb's production the following year after a heavy load..........and now we want to give a rookie a load that will put a lot of miles on a 20 yr old body?............Now maybe he can lead the NFL in yds from scrimmage with a lot of big runs/plays while keeping the carry numbers to a number picked by the coaching staff............

If McFadden ran for over 1000 and he didn't even start the first few weeks.. I mean, Zeke needs to at least get that. I don't want to jinx it either though. I hope everything goes well.

This should at least come close given the investment and all the talk that has been talked from the Dallas brass. If Zeke comes in and performs like the 4th pick in the draft then he will lap McFadden and Morris pretty quick and grab the lion's share of the carries. If he doesn't, then what the heck did they pick him at #4 for? Put the rookie in and let him earn his check.

I wish someone would invent a rb rating and get it accepted. No one would ever say "tony needs to lead the league in total yards" or even ypa.

Ypc and total yards are terrible stats. Imagine if Emmitt never ran the ball inside the 2 or in 3rd and short situations. His Ypc would go up and the effect on total yards would be negligible, but the team would have obviously been worse off. Turnovers obviously matter as well.

Zeke is like Weed. From what I heard and read he is going to cure all that ails this team. Everything from extending Romo's career fixing to fixing the defense to making Garrett a better head coach. Hell he might turn Jerry into Ozzie Newsome as a GM.

I'm as excited about Zeke's production as anyone but people really need to tap on the brakes, here.

My concern is that Zeke will lead the league and be over worked. After going thru a lot of reports of our draft grade, I keep reading that our draft this year will play out well in the future. Lets all hope that Zeke is not overworked to a point he is less effective when this so called future appears.

I'm not preserving him at all. You're paying a huge price, maximize the return on investment.

Why? Based on the cost, and what Murray did in 2014, the expectations should be sky high. Anything less is a poor return on investment.

I agree with that. The only reason why he wouldnnt is if they go RB by committee.

LOL.....yep, isnt it funny to listen to it all. These are all the things that Zeke is going to do for us:

-Make the defense better
-extend Romos career and keep him upright
-improve the passing game
-Cure the coaching problem because they can just hand him the ball now
-lead the league in total yards from scrimage

Is there anything that I am leaving out?

Agreed. I expect a much better TD/Fumble ratio than we saw from McFadden last year (3 TD's running or passing, 3 fumbles - woo hoo). If he puts up a lot of points (running or catching), converts first downs, and minimizes turnovers, most of us will be fine with it this time next year. Matching Murray's total of 13 TD's from 2014 (13 rushing, 0 receiving) would be outstanding for a rookie, and mean a lot more to me than his total yards.
