You think it's true.....Zeke is beyond washed up?

He's no 2016...sure.

But "beyond washed up".

Come on.

Do you think he is an asset as a receiver?

Do you think he can hit the home run from midfield?

Do you think he has the speed to get around the corners?

I hope you are right. But it was frustrating to see him struggle for yards again last night. Jmo.

Was it frustrating to watch Pollard struggle for yards against Philly? Asking for a friend. Tennessee whipped our line's butt last night there's no two ways about it. The guys had to fight for every inch they got except for that one play. I also noticed a lot of slippin and slidin when trying to make cuts last night. I think after about the 3rd or 4th one Zeke just decided not to even try cutting anymore.. He just ran straight ahead and let the chips fall where they may.

He's an asset as a receiver but he's more of an asset as a blocker. The Cowboys have plenty of receivers.. they only have one good blocking running back. He has gotten around the corner numerous times this year.. He has more 20+ yard runs this season than the previous two combined I think. Most of those have come on the edges. In fairness I think the 3 games in 12 days took a toll on the older back. He certainly looked less spry last night than he has most of this season. I think the short turnaround got him. That's why I hope they rest him next week. We need him fresh for the playoffs.. not limping in like last year.

Zeke has always been an asset as a receiver. When they have a good line to block. HE used to be able to chip and go. Now he has to stay in. The fact that you don't comprehend that is....telling.

I'm not too hung up on power RB's hitting 50 yard home runs. The #2 change of pace speed backs? Yes I want them to hit that on occasion.

I think if we have good blocking, especially on that tight end....yes....he still has the speed to go out. How many times does he have to side step on the hand off? How many times does the TE blow a block?

Yep...I get it. Felt the same way.

But even after a tough game...even after a seemingly declining skills (do remember he set the bar VERY high!, he's a 2 time rushing champ/should have been 3 straight)....he still brings valuable skill to this team.

Oh I see Zeke's value as a runner and Blocker and so does every Defensive Coordinator .

They clamp down on Pollard the minute he steps on the field. But when it's just the former rushing champ they Clamp down on everybody else

I also see higher value in bringing in a fresh top power RB

The money has already been spent and changes nothing

And these change of pace backs are putting up the same numbers rushing as zeke at their lowest and outperforming him at their peak because they have that speed

And they add a better passing dimension.

We just need to focus getting our best players on the field and Tp is that by far

50% of the time is still too low. I'd rather pull out a te or a 3rd wr

We got too many blockers and not enough weapons

Hopefully they'll give Ty a much larger role starting this week

He's the #2 imo

Ya stop Pollard and Lamb and there's no big play capability left ya see. Maybe Hilton

Keep in mind it was my 2 old eyes that predicted that our wr and te core would regress the min coop got traded

And it did

We gotta revamp our game and strategy before we get to the Wildcard game .

The same strategy isn't gonna get it done and everybody knows it

He’s ok, but he’s def lost like 2-3 steps. I’m more worried about the line. They looked bad against Tennessee. That won’t go well in the playoffs, against a team like SF, our offense will grind to a halt if they play like that.

Our ol can't hold their blocks forever. You only have a split second to get by them w burst. Ya can't just trot by them expecting them to stay engaged. These ol are not the same players they were 6 years ago either. They all getting older.

That's why we're leaving so much meat left on the bone

No Burst!!

But we can blame our oline for everything

Tennesse was a tough physical front, their DTs, and DEs ate our OL lunch all day . Could be little worn down since it was only 4 days between games.

They've been worn down for 2 years. It's called age. Ha ha ha

This is a very mature oline

They can still block and open up bigger holes against lessor dlines

But when they can't ya have to create your own holes instead of blaming

That's when SPEED MATTERS

Unfortunately the old rushing champ is not as good as creating his own holes like he could in his prime.

He's not running over or around nobody anymore.

He's just waiting on a hole like all those other mediocre committee rbs ha ha ha

I'd be pitching the ball out to Pollard and Davis more

They got a better shot of wiggling and bursting through smaller holes. And if they get through one I'll take the bigger gain

If not it will be 3rd and 7 vs 3rd and 6 w Zekey Boy. Not much difference statistically ya see.

All those 3-4 dirty yards have turned into a 1/2 yard STATISTICALLY ha ha ha

A Power backs role is to run over and through peeps

Where's the BEEF!!

Earl Campbell didn't have a big hole to run through consistently.

Neither did Barry Sanders

Two very opposite backs that created their own holes.

The REAL Thunder and Lightning

I see a bunch of lighting but very little Thunder!!!

Show me some highlights of some defensive players getting trampled by our BIG POWER BACK!!!

Henry does it every single week

It's the ols fault he can't run over anybody huh

And then there's nothing but SILENCE LOL
