Key word there being "looked." I didn't see a lot of holes to hit to be honest. Aside from one run where the line cleared everybody out Davis averaged less ypc than Zeke did. As in the overall result was worse. Who cares what how it "looked?" It also "looked" like he was slapped down with one hand on a few carries. Kudos to him for the one nice run.. but I repeat.. untouched until 15 yards. The rest of the time it "looked" like he was running into the same brick wall Zeke was and getting fewer yards for his efforts. The line lost last night.. so the runners weren't all that successful overall except for one play. That's what it "looked" like to me.
But Davis caught 2 passes one for 18 yards and a first down and one for 5 yards for a first down. He converted 2 first downs passing the ball.
Zeke doesn't really have that skillset in his bag of tricks.
Davis had 2 plays of 18 and 23 on (12 touches for 62 yards)
Zeke's longest play was 6 yards (19 touches for 37 yards)
The dirty yards Zeke was getting were 2-3 yard max
Zeke did get a key first down and a 1 yard TD run but he also got stuffed for a 4 yard loss on 3rd down
Davis has hit big plays fairly regularly. So has Pollard .
Whatever Zeke can do rushing and passing the two little guys can do better.
I could break down every games for y'all statistically but all those dirty yard run #'s are not as good statistically.
He's not like Murray when he left. He's more like Emmitt when he left. Js
