As I said, the possibility of Elliott having done this still exists IMO. But to date, the league has shown little to justify their findings. It would also be odd that they wouldn't state the strong evidence they had in the letter to Elliott. I guess it's plausible they held onto it knowing it would go to an appeal and likely court.

Goodell could hear the appeal, but he probably won't. He could assign a committee to hear it. Or, he could assign it to an independent arbiter to hear it.

If it's done independently, and Zeke tries to take it to federal court, they could rule that it's already been taken to an outside court and refuse to hear the case.

The key is to get an INJUNCTION, which would allow him to play while it's in court. If the federal courts refuse to hear it, then no injunction is applied, and the suspension begins as it stands at that point.

That's an awful lot of assumption on your part.

To my knowledge, he has yet to come out and admittedly deny the claims. Until he does so, I think that it's going to be hard for him to win any case.

He denied them a long time ago.

Let's think about this... Zeke is used to taking on 255lb LBers in pass protection of Dak, so if he really did rough her up as she claims, she'd be in the ICU. What is she, 105lbs dripping wet? Not buying her story.

Zeke should sue her, Goodell, and Lisa Friel for defamation of character to take this nasty stigma of "women beater" off of his name.

I think he's done already. Don't expect a firing because that makes the shell look bad. But his teeth will be pulled until he quietly slinks away in a year when his contract is up. That I do expect.

The NFL could appoint an independent arbiter for the appeal, which will make it very difficult to get the case heard beyond that.

Both parties have to agree to binding arbitration.

It's about her too if she is the only witness to her side of it. If she's a proven liar and maybe even an extortionist, then she has no credibility. Her credibility or lack thereof makes it about her too.

This conversation, however, absolutely suggest it did not happen. How?

Think about it. At every corner of this story, there are various attempts by her to get money out of Zeke. The text to her girlfriend asking her to fabricate a story of abuse. She was thinking pay day. The fact that the whole fight in the first place centers on him breaking up with her shortly after being drafted; she was mad about missing out on her pay day. Selling videos of her having sex with Zeke. Pay day. If you haven't noticed yet, the central theme in everything she has done to date has been about getting a pay day. Sorry, but anyone who believes her after all of that has serious mental issues or really wants Zeke to be guilty.

I don't see how one "negotiates" being labeled as a "woman beater"? It's an all or nothing proposition. He either did it and is guilty or he didn't and doesn't deserve any punishment.

You said this has nothing to do with her.

I am stating this has everything to do with her credibility considering that's the only real evidence....her word over Zeke's word. There is literally no other proof that he touched her that I'm aware of.

Since that is the case, Zeke's legal team has every right to attack her credibility since there is quite a bit of evidence out there questioning both her credibility and her motives. If his legal team can effectively sway the court of public opinion then maybe just maybe they can get the commissioner to drop this woman beater label.

Maybe he did hit her...nobody knows but those two. I am only relaying that her word means everything in a case lacking evidence or actual police charges.

Yep - that's who I read that she had the fight with. Makes sense. Tiffany was jealous, mad, and probably drunk when she saw them together - after Zeke already told her she wasn't welcomed. I guess she picked on the wrong girl.

In any situation where one person is accusing another and there’s questionable evidence, credibility from both sides becomes a paramount factor.


Let’s imagine some of the situation was reversed.


Let’s imagine that EE was found to have accusations of abuse from women before Thompson. And let’s imagine that the police asked EE where he was that week and he claimed he was in Texas when they can prove he was in Columbus. And let’s imagine that we have text messages from EE to a friend to ask him to lie for him.


It wouldn’t mean that EE actually abused Thompson. Some of the reasoning that I see here and in the media…one could argue that EE was scared of being accused of assault and lied about where he was because he thought it would help his case and he went to desperate measures to even ask his friend to lie for him.


When the situation is reversed, people would never believe the man. But in this case a proven liar, extortionist, witness tampering and violent woman is somehow believed by some.
