Zeke's first game stats comparison

Both Rookie QB's playing there first game.
Giants had the 32nd ranked defense last year and we don't know how good they will be this year. Very fair comparison.

Under your rules no comparison anyone could ever make would be considered a fair comparison.

Point is the eagles didn't let the browns dictate their game plan. They used the entire field and didn't look like they were holding Wentz back.

We let the giants turn Dak into Brandon Weeden. That's on us and it's going to be a problem moving forward if we don't fix this.

He's a rookie QB and was drafted in the 4th round and Wentz was the #2 pick, that an unfair comparison? Any team that trusts their defense can have a looser leash on their QB.

Let's just ignore what the Giants did in the off season in FA and the draft to address their D and what did we do? Another unfair comparison?

And do not misunderstand my posts as defending the coaching because I've never liked it, I just accept that it will not change.

The Giants came in with a "Elliott will not beat us" plan and executed that plan. I don;t even think they envisioned getting the rookie QB to put it up 45 times. He completed what I thought was the ceiling on his attempts at 25. And too many of those 45 attempts were off target and I've seen that movie before.

The best thing to come out of this is our rookie QB and RB both know what they saw in the pretend season was just that and if the coaches had any issues with a little too much confidence, that's gone today. One thing Dak needs to get and get fast, you do not throw high to your slot receiver if you want to keep him on the field in the NFL.

I'm not worried about Dak and Zeke. They will be fine.
My biggest concern is the coaching staff. They just got completely out coached. What the Giants did is nothing new. Teams did this to us last year all year. Teams have been doing this when they don't respect your ability to pass the ball downfield. Jason Garrett hasn't show an ability to score points when defenses play us this way. Having every drive needing to be a 13 play drive with 4 third down conversions will result in plenty of field goals.

The problem isn't Zeke or Dak or Dez or Witten or even T Will.
The problem is our offensive coaching and scheme.
Do you have confidence after watching teams beat us the same way for 2 years now that JG will figure out how to fix it?
