yup here in California, I just recently graduated from a well known university and every aspect was filled with politics, and really one sided politics at that. After 3 years I was really tired of it.

One minor point about that, she didn't need the DV platform for a re-election campaign because she ran unopposed. She was re-elected because she was the only candidate.

There was some kid on Sirius Radio just now. Started out innocent enough, said he was a Jets fan, whined about Fitzpatrick for a bit.

Then he is telling Howard David and Erik Coleman that he wanted to talk about Elliott's situation. Started with "can't provide a lot of details, but--". And he goes into a story how he has a close personal friend that was a freshman at Ohio State and she was date raped by Elliott.

They cut him off right away.

Was pretty satisfying when they did.

Very few modern faculty talk politics in class. That's because we respect diversity - even among those whose opinions we think are crap. Classes are about the course material. We recognize students aren't going into debt so that they can hear our opinions about topics where we have no expertise.

People hold some crazy idea about college that stems from the Vietnam era. Guess what folks. All those people are retired or dead.

Let me chime in here a little. And please let me preface this by saying I am NOT an advocate for either side.

If we look back at the history of abuse accusations and the final outcome of them, I would lean toward that the abuse was founded to be true a he*l of a lot more then it turning out to be false.

When it comes to people of wealth, it's 50-50.

Yes, but she still had a DV platform and it would behoove her to find Hardy guilty since he was guaranteed a jury trial upon appeal where he could be found innocent. She would have been known as the judge that found Greg Hardy innocent and down the road that could come back to haunt her.

Although I don't think she really cared, her mind was made up anyway.
