Give me a decent quarterback and a stud offensive line and running back becomes an afterthought.

Question for the smart people in the room: who was a better prospect coming out of college? Zeke or Jeanty?
Jeanty has the hype. But wasn't he overshadowed in the CFP by that no-name Ohio State RB? And wasn't his Boise State team squashed by Ohio State?

Cowboys fans need to stop wasting their time devising all these different scenarios which will all reach the same inevitable conclusion .Dallas will never get out of the divisional playoff round as long as Jerry is alive.

We have seen the Cowboys enter the playoffs with a dominant defense and a dominant running game in different times. We have also seen Dallas enter the playoffs with the number one offense in the league.

Dallas has had the best wide receiver tandem in the league at one time. Dallas has had one of the best pass rushers in the league on two different occasions. Dallas has had a top five rated quarterback during the regular season.

Dallas has had a top five rated offensive line. Along with a leading rusher in the league.

All scenarios have come to the same inevitable choke fest in the divisional round of the playoffs.

Posted for the very real possibility that the Cowboys could be featuring another 1st round RB next season.

The impact is undeniable.

This is how we have to win as long as we have this QB. Dominant run game but with a better defense than what we fielded in 2016.

IF Jeanty is still there. He probably would be the BPA.

As well as Zeke and Dak did that rookie year...just imagine what could be done with another good RB that is not past his prime with a QB that has grown even though some would disagree.

Ball control, time control and gives the defense some time to rest.

Garrett even looked great in that vid, thx for the mammaries!
About the only good thing Garrett ever did for the franchise. Reminded Jerry how much a dominant offensive line and running back could win games.

Although we paid for it because Garrett was just as weak a solid defense builder as he was a strong offense builder.

It’s sad that teams like LA shut them down in the Playoffs. Thought that force was going to take us all the way.

Remember when we used to have the Zeke vs Saquon arguments? Zeke lost.

Even Henry tore it up this year. We got the best RB in those two years of drafts with the least career longevity.

And worst of all, Jethro had a shot to sign all three of them this year and STILL made the wrong choice in 2024.

Focus on th OL, not the RB.

When Zeke came in we had a dominate OL. They both declined in tandem.
If we are talking 1st round, no.

Why are we the only franchise in the NFL that needs FIVE 1st round picks to form a decent oline.

We need to hit on more day 2, day 3 picks in the trenches.

KC . They change RB’s according to Reid changing the oil on the old truck yet they keep winning .
No kidding
Hambrick, Pollard, heck Rico could have hit 1500 if he was used.
Any of those guys could get you to a bowl
IF U HAVE A QB

Zeke ran through holes that Mazi Smith could average 4 YPC.

Show me all the highlights where he made something out of nothing. Its been since scrubbed from the internet but I used to post an article on here that showed outside of his rookie year, he was always way underperforming on things like expected yards above average, etc meaning in the illustrious words of Joseph Randle, Zeke was peak "leave meat on the bone" IIRC his yards before contact was like top of the league.

Dude was like the Antoine Walker of RBs imho. Wtih feed me and all that nonsense, my least liked player on those teams.

That said Risen I agree w/you on a strong running game, just think this dude walked into a special situation hell...Rico would have done around as well as imho. Demarco did more with less.

@Toruk_Makto Probably has that article saved lol.

He was consistent, even back then, that Zeke was overrated.
To me, Zeke was a great bellcow, and blocker, but the dude aged like milk left out of the fridge and once he lost that burst he just was a plodder.

Those 3 and Zeke made All Pro that year.
I say it was the 3 who made that year.
Some people forget how much zeke helped the line and Dak.

"He just ran through gaping holes"...is either lying or misremembering.

Not saying YOU, buybuy...just in general. I saw a comment earlier saying it. No doubt the line was really good. Zeke was supposed to be the topper for them and Romo.
