I agree and neither is Dak...
For the next two years he is then we’ll be playing musical chairs a QB.

easier competition
Isn't Cooper under contract next year for peanuts? If Rush continues to play well I am sure another team will make him an offer that the Cowboys will not match. Cowboys can not afford to pay 2 QB's top dollar. The Cowboys have decided that Dak is their guy so they will live or die with Dak.

Well, that is the whole problem in Dallas. The Jones boys have too much skin in the game on Dak. They annointed him with that huge contract and benching him in favor of a QB who they recently exposed to waivers is more egg than they can handle. You can bet it won't be the coaches making the call at QB.
No, UFA after this season.
The reality is that Dak is playing regardless of what Rush does and unless he flat out tanks he’s playing, you don’t sit a healthy QB making top dollar, you are tied to him for at least 2 additional seasons. How dumb would they look if Rush wins a few more games, Dak comes back and Dallas begins losing? While Dak is a better QB than Rush in most measurables, clearly something is going on that has allowed Rush to help Dallas succeed.
Just saw the post below earlier in the thread.
Who's right?
Cooper Rush signed a 2 year, $1,955,000 contract with the Dallas Cowboys, including an average annual salary of $977,500. In 2022, Rush will earn a base salary of $1,035,000, while carrying a cap hit of $977,500.
Didn’t the Cowboys sweep the NFC East last year?Well yea ...... Unless Dak comes back and the bed like he has on his last 6 of 7 non NFC East opponents.
Play calling has changed drastically....hopefully KM keeps this same type of ge planning for Dak.How dumb would they look if Rush wins a few more games, Dak comes back and Dallas begins losing? Yeah, establishing the run game and simplifying the passing game. How dumb would they look if Rush wins a few more games, Dak comes back and Dallas begins losing? While Dak is a better QB than Rush in most measurables, clearly something is going on that has allowed Rush to help Dallas succeed.

there's already 17 other threads on the same subject but kudos for needing your own Narcissist. A hater in sheeps clothing, i thought Jones was dumb for not having a plan at Backup QB, OL, WR, S, LB, DE and doesn't know who to sho FAJust conversation. It has been beat to death and will continue to get pounded. Forum rhetoric.

So do you think cincy and New York is tougher competition than San Fran or TampaYeah, okay. So I guess Dak beating up on weak opponents doesn't count too, right?
Didn't know about the no trade clause......shucks I guess we have no choice but to endure the cap pain!1) Dak has a no trade clause in his deal
2) The Cowboys are still stuck with a massive amount of dead money. It would make more sense to keep Dak on as a high dollar backup than trade him this year.
Maybe you're right......but I have more optimism and hope with Rush under center as opposed to DakI hate to break it to some of you but Cooper Rush isn’t our future.
