Zimmer: I probably panicked on some calls early

Not sure how anyone can watch this team get beat 50 to 7 and try to pick one thing to focus on lol. You got drilled and did nothing about it. The issue is clear. You can’t run the football or stop the run and you can only throw picks or get field goals?

True but as a coach where do you start trying to fix things

Man this week....I have no answers. I typically have my own solutions to what you do. I have no idea. Because at 3-3 your season isn't over. You are probably even overachieving based on what your flaws are and how many injuries you've had.

But man I don't know how you fix it. They knew their flaws in the offseason and did nothing. Now what do you do? Address them now with practice squad guys on the teams? It's just a mess.

I mean he's just talking. These pressers are nothing. I don't think he truly panicked. He had a gameplay and it failed. His dismissal should come from his incompetence not for what he says in a presser. He got schooled by a guy who's younger than his own football knowledge. The game has passed these guys by. Cowboys are just too moronic to see it and I don't blame Zim he was a one year hire rental anyway. They had nothing. No plan or anything.

I still do not see why Al Harris was not promoted to defensive coordinator.

My guess is he doesn't literally mean "panicked," but rather got too aggresive in response to their play-calling. He doesn't seem to be the right guy, regardless.

I don’t think he’s ever called plays but from the looks of things it’s hard to tell it Zimmer has.

I hear you! I don’t think there’s anything to be done to impact wins. It seems this ship will sail on at about an 8-9 clip. If the coach had authority, which he doesn’t, and had some stones, which belong to Jerry, I’d at least want him to bench players that aren’t doing their jobs well enough. Diggs, Zach, other notables.

It’ll never happen tho.

Defense has been horrible, but what is more disappointing is the offense. Look at the huge contracts we have at WR and QB and they do not produce.

Dan Quinn adjusted his scheme to fit the players he had and it worked.

Zimmer seems determined to force players into a mold that may have worked for him in the past but is just not working now.
