Yes, because to be a dominant and factor DE, the sack count has to be relevant, Aidan Hutchinson with 5 games played has better numbers than Micah with 9, Micah is 11 positions below Aidan.

Who else does Hutch have on their line, though. It's relevant. One man cant be your entire passrush or QB cant escape. 11 is always in the backfield, but he's the only one.

Interesting. Overshown was playing linebacker like some hoped Parsons would play it like his first season. Before Parsons became a great pass rusher.

Parsons had 13 sacks as a rookie.

He started 12 games at LB and 4 at DE...

He such a strong pass rusher that Quinn just had him rush the pass. I wouldn't say he was one-dimensional as Quinn brought him from everywhere. I expect even if Zimmer plays him on the line, he's going to be "blitzing" on pretty much every down, whether it's a run blitz or pass blitz. Quinn will have one of his more inferior DL drop to make it a four-man rush.

He could be used in so many other ways that would drive offenses crazy. Anthony Barr is the best example. Barr had a very good and long NFL career and Parson is very similar to Barr out of college. That is why I was yelling at the TV for the Jonesboys to draft Parsons to finally give the defense a cornerstone it has not had since D Ware. If Jerry Dumbo GM Jones keeps Zimmer and Parsons, you will see a great player become a Hall of Famer.

A good DE is measured by sacks, if there are no sacks the rest is unnecessary, Micah is ranked 31st in the DE rankings, Micah has a long way to go to even reach what DWare was.

Parsons was out with a high ankle sprain for four games and part of a fifth.

He's 12th in the league in sacks per game -- now count in the number of holding calls he's faced and his play against the run. Then maybe you can get closer to understanding how a good DE is measured.
