Don’t disagree but MM had talent and we know what happened 3 times, that along with all his other game management problems along with penalties says to me he’s not the guy, merry Christmas stay safe enjoy the game not sure it will be on here with the flex.
I’d argue he didn’t have enough talent. Yes, some but not enough. Merry Xmas to you as well.

I get that for a lot of coaches, coaching is in the blood.

But the man is 68. I plan on being retired and traveling at that age. Not still working 80+ hour weeks.

So if his heart isn’t into it anymore. That’s fine. He should just retire and go enjoy life.

Do you even want a coach who doesn't know if he wants to coach anymore?

Not me. You're either all in or you're out.
Can we just File 13 the entire staff, except for Al Harris? Make him the DC and find a new HC.

Just get rid of it all. But the Jones boys aren’t bright enough to make significant change. They might have to “pay” for a quality HC.

If Zim is out... 2 words: Al Harris. Not sure he's up for it but I'd rather he get a shot to try in Dallas than somewhere else

There are plenty of great coaches that get burnt out. They make good money as analysts, or are just done. The best coaches sound like they basically have no life outside the field. They may love it for awhile, but the perfectionists will burn out. You can’t keep logging that type of week before breaking. Just ask Jimmy, Parcells, Cowher, etc. Heck, ask Ranching from this forum. It’s not easy for their family to have an absentee father or to be one.
Yet, people keep lining up for the job. Nobody's life is easy and we all make choices. Coaches, professional coaches, choose to chase football glory, fame, and money over everything else. There is no reason to pity them or feel sorry for them. They made a choice and are living their dream.
