I feel like and mentioned this with my friends yesterday, the defense looks more sound with Zimmer. It was consistent and maintained. With Quinn, there were splash plays galore, but then huge mistakes. It was a roller coaster with Quinn. I am enjoying what Zimmer is doing with the D, and the players respect it.I know I know it was the browns offense. But it’s nice to see a coordinator who prioritizes stopping the run. Who will adjust.
Quinn’s defenses were fine… but face a team that got the ball out quickly or could run the ball and we got gashed. He had no answers. In my opinion Micah made Quinn look better than he was.
I was saying the same exact thing!Zimmers defenses are MUCH more structurally sound than Quinns EVER were. Quinn is all about getting sacks and pressures so much so that he will leave gaps wide open due to all of his risk taking. Against poor or average teams his defenses dominated. Against great teams he can be easily gashed and taken advantage of . Quinn is smoke and mirrors,...a fraud
LBs are better. That should go a long way.Lol. We'll see. The defense is mostly the same as last year so.......we'll see
No it’s not.Lol. We'll see. The defense is mostly the same as last year so.......we'll see
Big if but if Kendrick, overshown, Carson, mazi, and kneeland all make big leaps that’s a pretty big overhaul from last seasonLol. We'll see. The defense is mostly the same as last year so.......we'll see
seriously not even close they're running a completely different scheme, and they have Phillips, Joseph, Kendrick's, &Overshown all whom were not on the team last year and add in Liafu and Carson.. Bland will be back but was missing game 1..Lol. We'll see. The defense is mostly the same as last year so.......we'll see
These casuals that make statements without realizing its inaccurate,No it’s not.
Yeah but that doesn't make it the same... We shouldn't be anointing anyone I get it but this defense will be more steady and consistent because it doesn't play hero ball the the pressures in the scheme for Dan Quinn is either all or nothing it's feast or famine it's what they do they like to play fast and loose and they like turnovers that's not Mike Zimmer Mike Zimmer has 50 play calls and he likes to put players in the right positions to keep the game in front of him downhill his linebackers the center of his defensive line all are different and you can't see the difference even from game one and we're missing bland then you ain't paying attention....How did our defense look week 1 last year?
how exactly is the defense the same as last year? Did you watch the game against Cleveland where they stopped their vaunted running game? I swear some people don’t watch the games and just look at the score.Lol. We'll see. The defense is mostly the same as last year so.......we'll see
i really think having competent linebackers is the difference. maybe zim is instilling more discipline, but losing our lbs or them playing injured or out of position was really their achilles heelI feel like and mentioned this with my friends yesterday, the defense looks more sound with Zimmer. I have been saying the same thing since last year. Quinn is overrated as a DC. He was abused last year in the playoffs and while Dak got all the criticism look at how his defense came up in the big game. It is too soon to tell if Zimmer's D is better than Quinn's but I do think Quinn's defense was good because of Micah Parsons. Parsons will help Zimmer look better too, but Quinn was not as indispensable as some people thought in the past. In some ways he hurt the Cowboys defense.I know I know it was the browns offense. But it’s nice to see a coordinator who prioritizes stopping the run. Who will adjust.

Quite an overreaction after just 1 game, where Quinn was the DC for several years. We have to see how the season plays out to determine who is the best for this team!I know I know it was the browns offense. But it’s nice to see a coordinator who prioritizes stopping the run. Who will adjust.
