Hostile, I have read and heard that the Dolphins are very unhappy with Ronnie Brown as far as his work ethic, workouts, he has all the talent in the world, but he came into camp like 245. or so. Thats where I think Bill Parcells will pursue Julius Jones as a rb to run by committe. In fact, to recoup some, he might trade Brown if he comes into camp again out of weight.

As far as J Jones in a trade, Parcells will wait and get J Jones as a free agent. The thing we have to worry about, I have heard, that the possibility of our offensive asst head coach Sparano going to Miami as their head coach, and rumor of Jeff Ireland as GM, that I dont want to happen. I think we can survive with Jason Garrett as offensive coordinator till he gets ready to take over as head coach.
I do like the ideal of trading with the Dolphins and getting McFadden, but a very reliable source of mine, told me, that the Cowboys cant afford McFadden and Marion Barber, he said Barber will get a big contract next year or so.
You have to remember best I know of we will have about 15 million or so in cap money, maybe as much as 19 million, but we have to sign Canty, McFadden if we trade for him, Barber, Hamlin, Newman, maybe Flozell for just one year, but most likely Bill Parcells will go after Flozell too in free agency. I dont like the ideal of moving Bigg Leonard Davis to LT, he needs to stay at RG. Just that we havent played McQuistan, or Doug Free or James Marten any this year hardly at all, and thats real scary having an inexperienced LOT.
Then, if you remember Jerry Jones said he was toying with the ideal of moving Bigg to LT next year, to me, thats a big big mistake, Bigg isnt quick enough for LOT. Tony Romo would get killed, and there goes the Cowboys seaon for 2008.

Another problem with your scenario is that Parcells loves DTs.

And Glenn Dorsey might be too tempting for him to pass up.

But not lose Jeff Ireland, and pleaseeeeeeeee pleaseeeeeeee no Larry Lacewell as Head Scout, the game has passed him by, if you remember he ran our 1999 to 2002 drafts, and when parcells came in first thing he did was boot him out, and what happened with our drafts they got alot better. Now, I am still trying to give Lacewell the benefit of the doubt, he did show Jeff Ireland some things, and it may have been like everyone said, it was Jerry Jones that was running those drafts in 1999 to 2002, not Lacewell, and Lacewell got all the blame.
Main thing, I just dont want to lose Jeff Ireland, keep him and Jason Garrett, not sure about losing Sparano, but that is what I am hearing from reliable sources, that is what Parcells might do, hire Sparano as head coach of the Dolphins.

they were saying how parcells might be trying to rebuild the front 7 right away. we could give them a dlinemen or a lb with the 1st round picks.
We can give him Spears and Fasano back plus the 2 #1's, that should do it. :)

lol am i not mistaken but doesnt dallas have a probowl rb in marion barber? so dallas drafts a guy and has to pay him 35mil+ signing bonus to play part time?

the disrespect barber gets from dallas' own fans makes the disrespect espn has for the cowboys seem insignificant

Zoners:

Mr. Jones will work out a deal with Parcells for the phins #1 pick.

BP loves draft picks and realizes that is exactly what the phins need most.

Mr. Jones is dying for the rights to Run DMC (MACFADDEN)

We will offer Big Bill our 2 #1 in 08 and our #2 in 09 plus JJ.

What do you Zoners think?

I think that would be the worst trade in Cowboys history. Don't trade any picks and take Felix Jones in the second round.

:D I believe it when it happens. You guys sure are good at dreaming though. There are other teams that can trade with parcells, and they probably have better first round picks than us.

Correct me if I am wrong, but with the Pats losing their first rounder, I think we are the only team in the NFL right now with 2 first round picks.

So really, nobody else has the ammo that we do to move up without throwing players in the pot.

I say Fasano, Spears, and both first rounders (I will even pitch Bobby in)!!!

How bout it Tuna ???

do not do it...the only way we should do this is IF we plan to trade Barber....we do not need Barber and McFadden. This would be too much money tied up at that position. We need secondary help to allow all of the money in our front 7 play to it's potential. We are too slow and unskilled in the secondary. We need youth and true speed at WR to ensure that the Romo express does not slow down once TO is no longer an elite WR. Better to add that guy now so he would not have the pressure of carrying a team as a rookie....he could learn how to train and diet from the best physical specimen to every play the position and Ray Sherman is a great WR coach.

And I do not trust Parcells....Jerry has been at this long enough to know that trading away 2 #1s is NEVER worth it...especially if it is NOT for a franchise QB

Regardless of if it is the right move or not, I think we all realize Jerry is going to pull the trigger. You know he is having wet dreams every freaking night thinking about that Razorback.

I am 90% sure a trade will happen.:D

I think we would be totally nuts to make a deal like that.

I don't think we end up with the #1 pick next April either.

Julius Jones will be an Unrestricted Free Agent. How would we trade him if he is free to go anywhere he wants?

Sign and trade ;-) like the NBA?

I was wrong.....at the time I was thinking how much BP loves JJ and forgot about the contract.....hey, maybe something could be worked out.

Really, I want MacFadden, however, we are so close to a Super Bowl team, it might be in our best interest to keep our picks and draft for need

Somehow I don't see Rickey Williams being part of any Bill Parcells plan...

I agree, it is hard to pic BP and Rickey sitting around a Miami campfire rolling up a joint and talking offensive schemes.
