Dak is the fourth oldest starting QB in the league

Are they assuming guys like Aaron Rodger’s and Russell Wilson will be out the league?
There are 6 spots without projected QBs which makes the OP assertion a bit softer/weaker.

At least 2 MORE starters will be older than Dak when the season starts.

But it is certainly worth noting Dak is on the other side of 30 and either at or nearing the end of QB peak age. If you are looking at a 2-3 year rebuild he likely isn't the guy.

Yeah I would agree. I think you are going to start to see some ideological shifting when it comes to how teams approach the QB position. The thought process seems to have always been that if you have a quality QB you should at least be good enough to make the playoffs. The problem is the top paid guys in the league (Dak, Burrow, Watson) all missed the playoffs, Cincinnati twice in a row. Meanwhile teams are finding guys other teams are dumping and making the post season....Darnold, Mayfield, Goff, Smith.

Outside of just a few guys I think we have a more level playing field when it comes to the QB position than we realize. The modern game seem to be less about the QB and more about the team in totality than it used to be.
yep. baker and darnold really threw a wrench. purdy picked the worst possible time to turn into a pumpkin, along with san frans noted ability to maximize the qb position w/ him, jimmy, and kap. don't know if it will be a league wide paradigm shift, but SF specifically can pressure purdy to take less or walk. I'm more curious to see where Russ goes, and for how much. Think that will be somewhat telling.

Looking at the franchise tag numbers from the other thread I dont see SF in a huge rush to extend Purdy unless he is willing to take a slight discount.

I mean Rodgers was MVP at 37 so the peak is relative. Cousins had his best year 2 years ago at 34. Matt Stafford had his first taste of playoff success at 33, and is still considered a top 10 QB at 37. I get that none of these guys are young but just for context Mahomes is the 7th oldest QB in the NFL from this list and is considered the best in the NFL.

DAK is the fourth oldest QB in NFL history to have the best deer in headlights presentation ever!!

If you're not in love with dak, like the 3 most regular posters on here, you need to find a new team. We don't care if we every win another game as long as lover boy is our QB.

No poster here that I know of have ever told other fans that. I can't imagine a real Cowboy fan tell us Cowboy fans to find another team.

Same as we got from Romo. Yet some want to argue that Dak is soooooooooo much better than Romo.
With Romo I always had hope we could win any game. I do not feel that way with Dak. Other than Dak's rookie season, which was helped hugely by the o-line and rookie Zeke...

Looking at this makes me wish we had given Trey Lance more opportunities to start after Dak went down.
