I don't understand why the Cowboys fear 'cap hell'

I don’t think Jerry’s stupid.
He knows exactly what he’s doing….and he doesn’t care what any of us think.
.
He’s not cheap. He just doesn’t know how to build a championship caliber team.
he certainly is cheap as regards coaching salaries. He has said more than once he won;t fire coaches and pay them money due to that. For a multi billionaire whining about ten million or so tells me he is CHEAP

Correct. And now those players who led us all the way to 7-10 are gone.

Starting QB out, record of 3-5, career backup coming in. What praytell led Jerry to be stupid enough to think we shouldn't start trading players w/ expiring contracts? This is simply beyond stupidity. And a big reason why we can't win playoff games. Imagine coming into this next draft w/ two 2nds, two 3rds, and three 4ths. Talk about something to finally look forward to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And that is yet one more reason why Jerry is a terribl GM. He simply cannot see anything coming, zero foresight.
Correct. So the only way is to put some of the salary/bonuses from 26, 27, and 28 into this year and have a void year. Only way. Sure, if we were a super bowl contender we'd move it forward. But we are not, and once again Dak insisted on a contract that assures we won't win in the playoffs.
Yep, and there's an argument, as Jerry didnt do it last year, we need to suck, take the hit in 2025 and start again in 2026. Id go a stage further and trade this years 12th Pick for a 1st Rd next year (and shrapnel)....it's a weak top of the draft and having two First Rounds next year allows us to draft a future QB.

I heard fisher say it really could be a 2 year rental for Dak, so 62 and 72 will be owed to him after 2 years, is that really good. Or is there something we can do to spread it out so it's not killing our cap
It’s possible.

They can post June 1 cut Dak as soon as next March.

Which is why they have so much interest in Lance.

They cannot continue to pay Dak mega millions and build a team.

Easier to continue with Lance.

Paying Dak all the $$$ is killing the roster.

Was anyone thinking of line 3 before they did the deal lol, so much interest in Lance to do what??? He'd be great for the offense the OC wants to run

Hades, find a needy team and you might even get a 1,2 in next year's draft.

Believe me he is stupid.

When you want to give him some credit the guy has some peasant's cunning. But dont make the mistake to think that has something to do with intellect education or knowledge.
The guy was not able to dig for oil in Texas (Thats like not being able to find water when you are floating on a boat in the open sea). His father had to bail him out more than once. His father was the one who was sucessful. Jones had a great start because he was born a millionaire.

Jones knows how to talk his crap up like it is gold. And whats worse i think he bellieves it.
I guess he’s a stupid person who happens to be a billionaire.
We all should be so stupid.

You didnt read it the right way.

Stupid doesnt mean he aint going to be successful.

People nowadays - especially in capitalistic countries - dont understand that monetary success has nothing to do with your intellect. Just look at the US for example and those really rich people who live there.

No. In an unregulated market its all those a-social traits that gurantee you monetary success. And what is way more important is your social status in that you were born.

If your paremts and their parents were elite (monetary elite, intellectual elite, power elite) then its no question you also will be elite.

In fact increasing your wealth is just a sideeffect then. To have power, have a good network and being wealthy from birth on is what counts. Just ask yourself: would JJ that successful if he were born as a blak child in soweto south africa?

There is a reason 95% of the elite nowadays in the US were born by the elite parents.

You have a a-social system. Then this system will support a-social people who then benefit from it. JJ is one of them.

Again this has nothing to do with a bright mind.

I don't think it's cap hell that concerns Booger

It's their flawed philosophy.
Dominate the East.
Sneak into the play-offs.
Somehow get insanely hot.
Win. Win. And win again.

That's all there is to hoisting a trophy in their minds.

They truly believe luck is the biggest factor in winning.
Spoiled by the giants and bucs doing just that. Difference is the QB got hot , no game killing interceptions, or yes lucky with the helmet catch

I don't think Jerry's parents were super wealthy.
But whatever your point is... for anyone to be savvy enough accumulate wealth at Jerry's level take intelligence and know how.
But whatever,,,,,,, but thanks for the lesson in social economics.

I wish I was stupid enough to be a billionaire.
lol
Not me. I know quite a few millionaires, and most are unhappy as all getout. Many are drunks. I am more than happy w/ my middle class life, not sure why people are so adamant that they just have to be a millionaire/billionaire. If I had that much, I'd give a lot of it away. I'm just not built in the way that I have this weird need to hoard money. Makes no sense to me.

Again. Dak's salary is not stopping from building. This stupid argument continues. IT IS JERRY!
Yes it is. And it is very stupid to think that an 89 million dollar cap hit against a 252 million dollar pot does not hinder the building process. And yes, it is most definitely Jerry.
