I don't understand why the Cowboys fear 'cap hell'

How many times have the Jones' said 'the Eagles will have to pay the piper on the contract reconstructions they've done'. Guess what, that piper comes 2027-28 at the earliest. Until then they can keep going all in with the deepest roster in the NHL. But the Jones are scared of what they'll have to deal with in a few years, even though they've made the SB multiple times lately
 
The only promote "Cap hell" to excuse their terrible front office approach. They claim they won't have enough money and get ready for more years of sucking. Yet, other teams prove time and time again, you can ALWAYS manage your cap however you want. Rams signed everyone they wanted and won a title. Eagles are doing the same and have a great future.
 
I think a better question is if it was your team and your money, would you spend your money like your fans wants you to spend your money?
I can’t I blame Jerry for being frugal. I just think when he did spend money, he spent it on the wrong type of player(s)….Dak.

I don’t think Jerry’s stupid.
He knows exactly what he’s doing….and he doesn’t care what any of us think.
.
He’s not cheap. He just doesn’t know how to build a championship caliber team.

To me thats no sign of fear.

That is attacking to distract from their own inability and failure.

The Eagles are successful. We are one of if not the worst franchise of the league. That now for 20 years. The Joneses are under heavy critique. And rightfully so.

They try to justify their approach by saying "you will see the way the Eagles do it will bring failure". Because they compare their approach to the Eagle's their message between the lines is "We are doing it right".

Its a very simple method that people with power use: spread vague fear and uncertainty into those who question you.


You can say whatever you want about the Joneses: They are stupid, alcoholics, authistic, dumb, ugly, one of the worst human beings whatever. And of course all that is true.
What they are not is uncertain when it comes to their own person. They are so convinced about them and their decissions there is no place left for the emotion of fear.

Believe me he is stupid.

When you want to give him some credit the guy has some peasant's cunning. But dont make the mistake to think that has something to do with intellect education or knowledge.
The guy was not able to dig for oil in Texas (Thats like not being able to find water when you are floating on a boat in the open sea). His father had to bail him out more than once. His father was the one who was sucessful. Jones had a great start because he was born a millionaire.

Jones knows how to talk his crap up like it is gold. And whats worse i think he bellieves it.

Jerry's stuck in tradition. He doesnt have: the imagination, innovation nor in/fore-sight to look at the situation in any other way that he's already doing. Indeed, he doesnt have a strategy, as shown with the 2024 team roster.....spending 90m+ per on two players whilst doing away with depth and integrel pieces such as Tyron, Hankins.

It's not so much he fear's Cap Hell, it's that he cant bear to do want's necessary to overcome it. He cant bear even one year of irrelevancy. 2024 could of righted the ship, with an acceptance of a reset, trading Osa, Dlaw, J-Lew, Martin
 
For the Cowboys, "cap hell" is a euphemism for market setting contracts for less than market setting players

Correct. And now those players who led us all the way to 7-10 are gone.

Starting QB out, record of 3-5, career backup coming in. What praytell led Jerry to be stupid enough to think we shouldn't start trading players w/ expiring contracts? This is simply beyond stupidity. And a big reason why we can't win playoff games. Imagine coming into this next draft w/ two 2nds, two 3rds, and three 4ths. Talk about something to finally look forward to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And that is yet one more reason why Jerry is a terribl GM. He simply cannot see anything coming, zero foresight.

Correct. So the only way is to put some of the salary/bonuses from 26, 27, and 28 into this year and have a void year. Only way. Sure, if we were a super bowl contender we'd move it forward. But we are not, and once again Dak insisted on a contract that assures we won't win in the playoffs.

I heard fisher say it really could be a 2 year rental for Dak, so 62 and 72 will be owed to him after 2 years, is that really good. Or is there something we can do to spread it out so it's not killing our cap
