I would really like to see Smith earn much more playing time. I am not against re-signing Cobb, if reasonable. I just think Smith has more to offer than we've seen so far.

Smith has speed, knows how to get open, a very good route runner, and very good hands.
I agree, his upside and a much younger player, is better.

Sign Cooper, we have Gallup. If Cobb signs a reasonable deal, and get Smith more involved. They do not have to draft a WR high, so they can draft defense.
Then there is still Noah Brown, he needs to be given more of a chance, if he can stay healthy, and also there is injury prone Cedric Wilson. Who shows flashes, but I am still not sold on him, never was. But still want to see more. This could be both players last chances to show what they have.

They also seemed to like this Vertrell Bryant, but then again we are talking Garrett and company too. Supposedly a good ST's play, and has some size, with some speed I think.
They have Johnson coming off IR as well, but I am not sold on him either, not worth keeping just for his speed. Reminds me of Alexander Wright.

At "$7 million" he's quoting as fact here? Yeah, I'd be 'out' too. But I would dispute that as his asking or getting price. If he does? More power to him, thanks for everything!

But I'd keep him for the bargain rate that we got in 2019. It comes down to cost.

I think $5 million is the upper limit. For his role and numbers, Dallas should try to get him down to $3 million.

Pretty much mirrors my thoughts. That, and about $4 gets you a cappuccino from Starbucks.

So you don't really have much of an inside scoop or know why they turned down the $33 mil.

Usually when you turn down an offer it's because you want more. So I'm gonna go with, he wants more money..final answer Regis.

When are you guys going to let this Dez fiasco go? He's gone....he hasn't gotten any better sitting on the couch the last two years.

He runs like a sloth, has glass hands, and clumsy as all get out.....if he had anything to offer some team would've taken a flyer on him but they haven't....and won't.

Even if he can't run, he can catch and jump. Inside the 20, he would have value around the goal. I think he would have some value as a slot player if he bulks up.

we can go 8-8 with no playoffs & make the playoffs every even year with :

Bridgewater, Winston, or Marriota.

All have a salary below 10M .

He played for $5MM this year and he had a decent enough year.

$7MM might not be that outrageous for a team that needs a WR.

I'd like to keep Cobb, but given the overall depth of the WR class in the upcoming draft, and the potential $7 million cost I'd let him go.

I'd be surprised if they let Cobb go, he was one of the bright spots in the second half of the season.

He made 5 mil last year
Probably gonna have to let him test the market but I don’t see anyone offering him 7 mil

I would make an offer around 5 mill and put the ball in Cobbs court. I do believe he wants to stay in Dallas and his wife just started working for a law firm in Dallas and have a child on the way. Granted big money offer would likely take him but I don't expect big enough offers for Cobb to leave. I do think playing for McCarthy is important to him as well. Again make a decent offer and either he takes it or don't.
