While a big name FA is not necessary, the Cowboys' defense would look a lot better with a body snatcher at DT and perhaps Delpit or Mckinney at S. Spend the money where you need it most. Unfortunately, the Cowboys found it worthwhile to overpay a RB and LB.

So most don't want Dak to be given an earned market value new contract of $32+ million per year, but some are willing to pay what very likely be a very pricey in his prime DT who came off his best season yet?

You just have to be Dak's daddy! I mean, every freaking day...Dak, Dak, Dak!! Here we are talking about a DT...you? Dak, Dak, Dak.

I’m down to look at him but he’s about to break bank. Basically the Bills did to Phillips what we should’ve done with Lawrence. Love Lawrence. Probably my favorite player on the team but that’s just too much money to give someone and the production ain’t there.

Get outta here! You know who is willing to break the bank, and it's not a freaking DT...it's your lover homey, the magnificent Dak!

Hey, peanut gallery, CB is a bigger need right now than S. Byron Jones is as good as gone.

According to spotrac

Average annual 6.1 per

Market Value
  • 3 yrs, $18,567,444
  • Avg. Salary: $6,189,148
  • NFL Rank: 279
  • DT Rank: 19

He will get a bump but thats not a bad contract. Cowboys will have to spend 6 to 8 mil on both DT's in free agency or draft one of them like Kinlaw if available

WE BETTER devote real cap dollars to that interior dline..not just a committee of bodies. I think Mike Daniels is a real possibility as a stop gap solution, but I think we will draft to sure up the dline. I keep hearing fantasies about us drafting corners and safeties at 17...I don't see that at all. I see Kinlaw all the way if he's there. I also see us double dipping and getting Gallimore if he's there at 51. We are in a rebuild on the dline. Daniels would just be a rotational guy.Tristan hill may get cut in camp.

yup..THATS why I say maybe only Daniels. He may sign here on the cheap for a year and has ties to MM, fits a need and can be a bridge type guy.I just cannot fathom why we would spend huge dollars on other teams free agents. Daniels is a no brainer as far as FA. But for me, its all about filling in the roster with draftees and guys like Dorance Armstrong and joe Jackson. Time for guys to take off the training wheels and show out,or get out.The enabler himself,GARRETT is gone..no more free rides.
