Better. Got rid of a daddy's boy that didn't deserve a job and a 0-16 coach. O and a scout that masqueraded as a special teams coach. For the deep south masqueraded means they pretend to be someone they are not.

Most of us thought Garrett was a terrible coach but quite frankly, what is coming out makes it sound worse. I lump Marinelli and the ST coach in with him. I'm not even going to toot MM's horn because he is an unknown but it sure seems that even an average coaching staff would have significantly better results.

Throw in a weak schedule and the team should be pretty good.

Obviously injuries are a big variable and the roster is a bigger one. Hopefully the Cowboys can be inventive with contract structures and put together a talented team.

Agree... I mean based on coaching decisions alone last year, we could have had 3 more wins.

Better and I would venture to say if the Defense doesn’t have a learning curve we will make the playoffs. Our Offense will be as good as ever. And our ST will be vastly better because it couldn’t get worse. The ST improvement alone will put us above 8 wins.

Depends on how much offense and defense change scheme wise. Is this coaching staff going to change everything right away? Or slowly change everything? Just on coaching, kicking/ special teams should have this team better than 8-8.

I expect 10-12 wins with a playoff win or two.

I'm not one to expect miracles, right from the get-go. There are and will be many hurdles to overcome for our new staff. Let's hold fast to hope that MM's experience and knowledge will serve him and his team well over whatever time is required to return them to the top. This staff will be obliged to renew the team's faith in a team that has fallen in the past. Great things and sweeping changes always take time to develop. Patience will be required.

Almost half of the team are free agents.

Without knowing anything as of now it looks like an 8-8 team. McCarthy makes us a little better but Dak and Amaris contracts make us a little worse so it evens out.

It depends on what we do this offseason to improve our team personnel wise. 25 free agents is a tall order. Now talent upgrade wise, some of that 25 will be easy to upgrade. But with the cap space post Dak and Amari, I’m not sure how well they can fill all the holes up in one offseason.

It's very well known here that many didn't like Garrett but ti exaggerate with a 0-16 record is a little over the line. I didn't like a lot of things Garrett did but he never had a 0-16 season.

With having 25 UFA, some aren't really needed and with Prescott, Cooper and possibly Quinn resigned that leaves little if any room left to sign other free agents to fill those other 22 UFA roster spots. That leaves the draft and signing a bunch of undrafted rookies So this season might not be quit as good as some here think.

Hello earth to you. Where did I say Marinelli was the HEAD coach. I said he was a coach. So, for your benefit, when was Marinelli as a POSITION coach with the Cowboys when the Cowboys went 0-16?
