Dallas Cowboys BEFORE Amari Cooper:

25 Wins 14 Losses 64.1% Win %

Dallas Cowboys AFTER Amari Cooper:

15 Wins 10 Losses 60% Win %

Remind me again how Amari Cooper has helped Dallas do anything but help Dak Prescott compile stats???????? He sure has not helped propel this team into more wins or a deep playoff run.
We dont make the playoffs in 2018 without Cooper, let alone beat Seattle in the WC?

Wentz led his team to a first seed. The team then went through the entire playoffs, not skipping a beat without him and won the Super Bowl. That’s not an argument in favor of him, if anything it’s an argument against him. “Yeah we won the Super Bowl without you and then the following season went on a run and made the playoffs without you, but here is 100 mil guaranteed anyway despite the fact that the team has proven twice that they don’t need you”
That is insane isnt it? lol
that is the product of football mentality, and 1st round pick mentality.
He was a round 1 pick , he has played good during season, so we have to pay him,
and since he was a magic round 1 pick , we have to pay him a lot.

This is part of the problem with dak, he was round 4, so people tend to look down on him,
even jones boys, especially when it comes to paying him.
It is all psychological, not logical.

Dak plays offense genius and when facing decent teams Dak sucked. He couldn't do anything to lead the team to victory in spite of having a fully healthy, talented offense.

10 points scored against the Saints (lost by 2 points)
9 points scored against the Patriots (lost by 4 points)
15 points scored against the Bills (lost by 11 points)
9 points scored against the Eagles (lost by 8 points)

ALL LOSSES so how is that the defenses fault?????? If Dak is so due as you say then he couldn't figure a way to lead the team to any victory in those games???? That is 4 losses by a combined point difference of 25 points, or 6 points a game average. Had he been such the 'due' QB that you say he is worth he would have led Dallas to victories in those games.
Dak didnt make the game plan, or call the plays, or design the playbook.
This was all under JG, and his staff, which were not very good and about to be booted out.
The players in general were divided and many gave up on season early.

If you think dak will be the same QB under mm and new staff, then no reason to converse further.
Coaching matters.
I think many of the players will be better this coming season, just due to the new coaches.
I think we need to throw out the JG years, and see what players do this coming season.

This is a problem only in that some players are due the big contract, and it is hard to be sure they are worth it.
I think byron jones and no int's , were a product of a outdated def scheme, so letting him go
based on not int's is silly.
I want to see dak play in MM 's offense , then I will judge that, and is one good reason to just tag him.
Then sign or dont sign next off season.

Again...…...despite articles and being educated by other posters, you continue to fail to grasp the crux of the issue with the contract. ITS THE NUMBER OF YEARS!!!!!

ITS THE NUMBER OF YEARS!!!!!

Dak wants a short one and Dallas wants a long one.
I actually understand both sides.
So then why not 33 million per year for 3 years with 66 million guarenteed.

he might take that. Who knows? But I would think the Cowboys want a longer deal as to get the bargain in the 2nd half of the contract.

Who want admit it? Speak for yourself. The thing is Dak isn't worth holding out but since I don't run the Cowboys he can. If I did he'd be a free agent whenever that happens because for his actual skill level its not hard to replace like some here think.
And your team would be 0-16.

It's a fair deal. He's about at Goff level but he's not as good as Wentz. If he turns that down then he's got 2 more season to play here and we start long at the next guy.
Look if he accecpted the deal i would be happy. Because its a great deal that we signed him for less than 2 qbs hes better than. Im jus saying it aint happening

I respect that, but if you were in his position and your peers were making more than you and you knew that in a year or two you could have been making a lot more........you might think differently. I hope he takes less, but I do not blame him one bit for asking for more. Asking for more and getting it allowed me to retire at 50. Settling for what was offered......I'd. Still be working. Just saying, Salud!
Wish I hired you as my agent. Took the offer and I'm still working. I'm lucky in that I truly enjoy my day to day, but not as much as I'd enjoy other things! Congrats
