Zeke has led the league in rushing twice in his first four years and would have led the league in rushing in 2017 had it not been for a 6 game suspension. He’s had three 1300+ yard rushing seasons and over 1600 receiving yards, plus he’s a great blocker. He’s an all-around great back who’s scored 40 rushing TDs and 8 receiving TDs. What have the backup RBs done that you want to replace him with? You want to replace him with a committee of backups who only have 12 career TDs between them and neither have cracked 600 rushing yards in a season. Prior to drafting Zeke the Cowboys tried an RB by committee and it didn’t work. There’s a reason they invested the 4th overall pick on Zeke.
Led the league in rushing? Wow that is amazing. What he has done is lead the league in carries, which typically leads to the most rushing yards.
But to the point...……….what has the team done that is so great under the great Zeke Idiot? He single handily ruined a season in 2017 by getting suspended. Contributed to last years demise by holding out and was almost non existent the first half of season from his Cabo hangover.
Investing a 4th pick in the RB position is foolish. And certainly Zeke or his production has NOT justified that.
Zeke benefits from a very good Oline like any other RB would.
Murray did the same thing. OR did you forget about Murray? Murray set the single season Cowboys rushing record at over 1800 yards rushing. The great Zeke hasn't sniffed that.
Given equal receptions and carries in THIS offense that Zeke had in the #1 offense in the NFL...……….Pollard and Ekeler would either come close or surpass Zeke in total yards and TD's. No question about it in my opinion.
And for 9 million dollars less.
