I've already said why./ Just you choosing my comment to make your point is a reason. Why did you chose MINE? You bias that is why.

I've made my point clear. This could be the most....er....legitimate? debate in sports history. Even if no one is EVER gonna change their minds.

But ...VERY telling that YOU...chose to quote ME...to make your point. Ask yourself why and you'll find you answer.
Im only bias to my Cowboys.....why I choose to make point in a Cowboys forum is for fanatic reason....its why we are all here.

Rough.
We all equate things to something familiar for better understanding.

Damn... why the heck am I defending @Redball Express so much?
I need to change the playlist on my headphones...

I don’t hate dak because he is probably a good guy but his agent is making cowboys fans really hate him. It’s making him look really greedy when he is turning down 33 million per year contracts and he is still trying to get there as a qb. It makes no sense really.

No...they don;t. They might put the best team they can afford. But all too often...the QB has to make due with what;s given.

Really dude? Really. ***.

Why do you keep bringing Romo up? He is not on our team. Has absolutely nothing to do with us winning next season.

agree on Dak needy analogy Red. it is a deep well , lots of money to be sunk , to no avail usually. jerry is too personal and pays a lot when it is his project . Jerry thinks Dak is his baby coz he and stephen drafted him . He wants the story to succeed.
Same with romo and most importantly , same with the oldest long son Jason garrett. That did not end well.

Yes. But every team doesn’t trade first round draft picks for a WR to save a QB who starts 3-5. Then makes said QB the highest paid in the league after the help was required.

True but be honest how good do you think Dak would be if he had some of the NE weapons at wideout that Brady had some years? I think we got a glimpse of it that year we got rid of Dez. If you think he would fare better the second time with average wideout talent cool.

Here is my analogy of the debate about Dak as our QB..

It's sort of like you have a daughter. She is getting married. The guy does not make alot of money. You try to tell your daughter this and that she will probably struggle her whole marriage.

But she insists and she marries him. You end up helping raise the kids because they are always broke and you have to keep propping up their family with money under the table.

After time goes by, there will be a divorce and the daughter and kids move in with you and you have to be dad and father and provider constantly. You do it becuz you love your family but what you really want is to have the daughter find another guy who can get the job done and not need constant help.

Now..what am I saying?

Ok..

Dak is the needy son in law, he wants to succeed but he needs a ton of help. You as the owner GM like your son in law and want his daughter to be protected and taken care of.

So you spend like crazy to put players around Dak and pay DAK to succeed.

But it is a constant and ongoing process and things just do not get to a closure of a title for the team.

We did this once already with Romo. Jerrah is doing it again with Dak.

I am not a Dak hater. I am a Cowboy Lover.

I wish there was a better scenario but there is not.

So we as fans sit..and wait.

And worry and spit nails and debate.

Sound familiar?

Comments certainly invited..not trying to rile you guys up. Only get things in context using easily understood scenarios. The younger fans will have no clue what the hey I am saying.

You older guys know EXACTLY what I am saying.

Funny analogy. Probably better told while having porch beers than it was a forum topic, judging by some of the responses. But funny to me, anyway. And I like Dak.

Franchise QBs pretty much always get built around, though. And if you have just invested in a guy like Zeke, it makes sense to build around him too. They want to keep a stranglehold on that #1 ranked offense!

Idk the cowboys didn’t have average WR talent in 2018 pre Amari Cooper. They had bottom 5 WR talent.

Not every team puts out absolute trash at receiver, like the cowboys had that year before Amari Cooper.

3 of the top 4 receivers on the team that year aren’t even playing in the NFL anymore. That’s how bad they were.
