Completely washed up? No. Done? Yes. We don't have to argue further. There's nothing out there that points to him being finished or not. We are arguing opinions. My opinion is formed from NFL history. I've never see anyone at his age play at a elite level. Never seen a team get older at quarterback and tight end and got better.

Done and completely washed up are the same thing in my book. You’re even admitting there’s nothing out there that points to him being finished. All I’m saying is the Bucs are better with Brady and Gronk than they were with Winston and his turnovers.

The issue wasn't giving Romo his deal. It was the piss poor contracts they handed out to players who didn't warrant the contract. Now you can sit here and say Dak doesn't deserve what he got or Zeke or Lawrence don't. I'm not going to argue that at this time. But those guys have put up some good years for some time now. Zeke and Dak have done it since 2016. Lawrence has done yet for awhile. The offensive line has done it for awhile.

They paid Roy Williams when he hadn't done anything for the Cowboys.
Paid Dez elite money after basically 1 or 2 years of elite play.
Paid Miles Austin after one year of elite play.
Paid Barber.

They really misused the cap. The salary cap now is a also a lot larger than it was then too. And while the contracts of quarterbacks has gotten extremely higher a lot of other positions haven't seen that same drastic change.

Paying Dak top 3 money tomahawk 360 dunks on all of our past bad contracts.

ITs the same type of weapons he's always had though. Aside from the Moss years he's never had elite receivers.

The telling thing to me is its not just last year. The past two years he's been declining. And this is declining. Being 42 or 43 are we to expect him to get better? IF so, I'd like to see proof of someone who actually got better into their 40's. I just can't think of anyone. I hate to keep bringing up Father Time but he is undefeated. All it take is one offseason. Learning a new offense, new system....Father Time......good luck to him.
The difference was the line. Best has always had incredible pass protection. Having to watch Pats games as a New Englander, me and my boys would home he could be preparing his hibachi back there. If there ever was pressure, it was almost always hurt one person, easily stepped up into a clean pocket. No jail breaks.

Brady has become a QB who craters under real pressure, particularly middle pressure. There's why I'm curious to see how he makes it in Tampa with their line.

I do wish we had swung for a Super Bowl with him for a few years here.

Washed up would imply he can't play in the NFL no more. When I say he's done I'm referencing him. He's done being Tom Brady. Peyton Manning was washed his last year in the league. He's not there yet. But he's done being a elite quarterback.

And you are correct. I said this is strictly my opinion. I'm not saying this is fact. Like to me Lebron James is suppose to be finished. He's not suppose to be the best player in the NBA. But he is even approaching 20 years in the league. Granted, he's much younger than Brady but he's suppose to be in his last legs at this point but he's playing at a extremely high level. Father Time should've kicked in but he hasn't. So its possible I'm wrong here. My opinion isn't because of a hatred for him or anything like that. I have never seen a situation where a quarterback went to another team at 43 and got better or was elite.

Yeah but Brady would even struggle with our line too. He's going to struggle with Tampa Bay's line. Brady's saving grace is he can get the football out quick. That should help him some with that Tampa Bay line.

“Done” means they can’t play anymore and that’s what you said. You said he was done! You made no mention of him being done as Tom Brady or being done as an elite QB. lol

LOL I do have to say I don't think Dak is worth the big money, my argument is on running out and signing a 43 year old QB. If they traded for a different guy tomorrow morning I wouldn't be upset about it. But we all know Dak isn't going anywhere!

That 43 year old QB won a Super Bowl at 41 and his “slowing down” is overblown and people are really just betting on time instead of acknowledging how crap his weapons were on offense last season.

If he produces 5k yards and 30 touchdowns? No it doesn't. If he does that his contract warrants it. The issue with passed contracts is those guys would get cut right after we gave it to them. Or in Romo's case he retired and we were still paying him and Dez. That is a issue.

Helps having the best defense in the league though. Decent field position all year.

But I'm telling you now what I meant and you are arguing against it? I'm telling you done and washed up are two different things to me. Just like you said to YOU they are the same. What's the issue?

Time plays a factor for everybody even Brady. I didn't expect a championship from him last year, and this team isn't good enough right now. The D blows! That's the truth even if they were first in line for Brady. With a new coach you have to have a legit time frame to get this thing in order. Not make decisions for a short run. The long run needs to be the focus here. Garrett, yeah sure bring in Brady. McCarthy... long term game plan. This guy seems focused and determined and I want some structure. Not moves out of desperation because the last coach sucked.

Yes, thats certainly his biggest strength now. He knows where to go with the ball and gets it there now.

Yep. I've seen a lot of people say he's going to have Winston's stats without the interceptions. I don't think that's going to be the cause. It going to be a lot of utilizing those tight ends and running backs and when you need to use Evans in that end zone. Its gonna be a boring but efficient offense.

You put a different spin on what you said after I objected to your comment. You did an about face. It doesn’t matter, this is just another topic we disagree on and there’s no point discussing it any further but I’m sure that won’t stop you from responding. lol

I honestly don’t care enough to argue it. I deaded it a long time ago by saying we are just arguing our opinions but it’s fine. One of us will

Neither has a chance at the SB this season because neither has the D to do that. I would put both of them equal in terms of getting in the playoffs as a wild card..

For me to be proven wrong Brady would have to stink it up in Tampa to the point of being benched. All I’ve said is he still has some gas in the tank while you seem to think he’s running on fumes.

TB they have a seasoned coach with a proven scheme and now have a TE and QB Duo to go with that insane WR core ..not by a lot but they made this move to go to the sb this or next season and will add more before game 1..they put their chips all in and the cowboys are calling bluff with Dak..
