Former Cowboy coaches not fairing well in job market

Well those are just realistic expectations. To expect them to be a top 10 offense with a young quarterback and Golden Tate as their best receiver? I think the first year the most important thing is developing Daniel Jones.
And why Garrett was attractive to NY. As OC with Dallas helped develop 2 less than Elite talents at QB.

Just to prove the point how hamstrung this team has been over the years by its coaching. Just about all of the main coaches have taken a step backward since either moving on ore being fired from Dallas

Kris Richard - unemployed
Scott Linehan - unemployed 2019, current passing game cooridinator at LSU
Rod Marinelli - Defensive line coach Las Vegas Raiders
Jason Garret - OC NYG

So, the rest of the league has spoken and all of the above were in positions beyond their capability in Dallas. Explains a lot
I don't disagree that the Cowboy coaches haven't been as good as needed, but this doesn't mean anything. Fired coaches, and especially fired head coaches, wouldn't be expected to immediately step into the same job with another team. Hell, there are only 31 other jobs in the world at the same level, and most of those weren't open to be filled.

I think someone would've this year.
It’s possible . NY and Car he interviewed with both went with new and upcoming prospects.

It’s probable he might have eventually got another shot. But neither of those teams hired him initially .

Remember Jerry’s constant drivel that if Jason Garrett were ever available, he would be immediately courted by any number of NFL teams as their HC? Now, after ten years as the Cowboys HC, Garrett is going to have to rehab his reputation as an OC before he gets a shot again as HC. And obviously several of his assistants as well.

I think Giants sort of settled for Judge. I might be confusing that job or the Browns job I can't remember which one sort of had to settle for what was left. McCarthy wasn't getting the job over Rhule and I don't think he was getting it over Rivera. I thought the Browns would sign him too.

I will say this.....I did not think Garrett would even get a OC Job as fast as he did.

Romo after starting a half season in 2006 wasn’t fully developed , still a raw product. We definitely saw him develop and evolve under Garrett.
You keep thinking that. Romo would probably credit Payton and parcells before mentioning that loser

So , you think all QB’s are fully developed in their first year of starting in the NFL?

Sounds like just another bashing of Garrett.

Payton surely had his early influence on Romo but can’t be fully credited for his development throughout the years.

Car and NY who did interview him didn’t hire him after first interview as we did. Those are facts. The rest can be speculated.

Yeah but the Cowboys hired McCarthy before anyone could even get a 2nd interview lol. They literally didn't let him leave Dallas. It really was a no brainer for him. They were the most ready team.

So wait....are you blind to seeing that Linehan SUCKED in Detroit and still got another job afterwards.

With his buddy! The guy he mistakenly gave a job to in the first place! Are you blind to that fact too? And that same 'buddy' is hanging in by a thread himself, no longer protected by his step father and actually needing to produce to keep his job.

You talk like Passing Game Coordinator at LSU is some internship.

'Passing game coordinator' in college. Put it on a chart and it's not hard to see that the career arrow is trending DOWNWARD. Unless one is practicing willful ignorance.

Except the previous passing game coordinator just went to theNFL and got a OC job lol.

I'm not saying Linehan will get a job again. I Don't know if he will but the path he's currently on is the same path everyone takes when they get fired. I'm not sure why that's foreign to some of you guys.

Which has NOTHING to do with Linehan or his career trajectory. Do better.

No, you said that he would. And you've been insisting it would happen. But if you want to backtrack on that, now would be a good time.
