Uhhhh..

You just need to clean those glasses.

Looking blurry, huh?

Not sure what strikes you as being delusional.

We are really saying the same points just different viewpoints.

But I know being right means more to you for your totem pole next to your teepee to display another virtual scalp.

Be my guest. Still ain't real.

:muttley:
I apologize i guess you were being sarcastic.

Hey Stephen, maybe if you would not have pissed away Dak's 4 year rookie deal with your obsession over Clappy you might have a ring right now.

Russel Wilson...………...won a ring on rookie deal
Carson Wentz...………...won a ring on rookie deal
Patrick Mahommes…….won a ring on rookie deal
Jared Goff...…….……….almost won a ring on rookie deal, lost in the SB.

Do you see a pattern here Stevie, teams dont piss away their franchise QB's rookie deal with a head coach in perpetual training for a decade. They strike while the iron is hot with a good roster and good coaching BEFORE they have to pay their QB monopoly money.

What does your analytics say about that?

Very solid argument.

We can all disagree on how good Dak is. But there really is NO argument for how much they wasted having the CHEAPEST starting QB in the league for 4 years that was producing at Dak’s level. Just thrown in the trash by Garrett and co.

Of course. They also wasted the career of a top 5, borderline elite QB in Romo. So, it’s not surprising.

Did you just start watching Football in 2016?

Honest question, otherwise you would already know the weapon that Zeke was in 2016. The league had already gone the way of the passing game and the Nickel was quickly becoming the base defense. The Hybred that is the Honey Badger was coming into vogue.

When everyone else was ZIGGING, the Cowboys decided to utilize the maulers they had up front, and started ZAGGING. This is the magic that was 2016. Teams have followed the Cowboys lead but it is nearly impossible to find a work horse that is Zeke.

He is 1 of a kind. We are blessed to have him. It is shameful for you to reconstruct history to diminish Zeke's acomplishments & his worth to this team.

I know where this stems from. It goes all the way back to the arguments of "2016". Many were salivating at the idea of Romo playing with Zeke. We would point out the obscene advantage the Cowboys would have with Zeke & Romo. We would point out the fact that Dak benefited from having Zeke in the backfield. Some are even of the opinion that Dak owes his whole carear to Zeke

This triggers many here, yourself included. In order to counter this argument, you create this false narrative provided with outlandish stats that doesnt factor into reality.

You claim he is overrated, then try to make it appear as though Dak is carrying Zeke on his shoulders. All in an attempt to discredit his Paycheck.

You claim if we only paid him 10 million then we could easily give Dak 45 million. Then you take the stance that, if he doesnt like 10 million a year we should let him go.

Because in your opinion RB's are a dime a dozen and Zeke is not special.

I can only pity you . . . Because you are not able to appreciate what will be one of the all time great Cowboys.

LOL...…..Zeke one of the all time greats? ahahahahaaha!!!!

And all you can do is harken back to 4 years ago? Bubububububut 4 years ago!!!!

You also have a great imagination as I didn't half most of whatever you are claiming. But thanks for the laugh.

And by the way...…..I didn't write those words. Those from an article. DOH!!!!!

My analytics say that you were complaining about Dak the entire time he was on his rookie deal.

What's worse is overpaying qb's who aren't elite too much. Dak led us to 8-8 last year.

Actually you would be wrong, Dak is one of my favorite players on the team and I have his jersey hanging in my closet that I wear on game days.

But that has nothing to do with my argument you failed to address.

For 4 years the Cowboys had one of the cheapest starting QBs in the entire NFL and they did nothing with that huge advantage like other teams have.

Well there you go, you pretty much just nailed it right there.

You can have a rookie on cheap money all you want, but if you don't handle the salary cap well or if you don't have the team around the QB it doenst matter.

Nothing really matters if you don't do all the other things well. Having a cheap QB means little.

However, this is why I am so against paying any RB 15 million dollars. Dumb way to spend the money when you are trying to build a SB team.

Quinn was only really going to be a one year rental regardless.

Good point regarding Jones and Hitchens. I never really thought that we got nothing for Jones!?

It's always different though with a QB. No way Jerry lets Prescott leave for nothing.
I don’t think he has a choice in the matter. But yeah you are right. Not sure we could’ve dealt Quinn anyway.

for one SJ is correct at this point I think QB markets are out of control given 75% of them cant carry a team and are not worth the deals they are getting, similar to what the rookies were getting way back when until the league put cap on rookie contracts...

to be fair the league cant dictate contracts for one position but they could add a clause that no one player can make more then 15% of the current cap or something that ballpark....

theres not many QBs I can list who should b making 2.5 times the next best skill player in the league and its out of control..

why should the Jones's join the other stupid teams bad decsions an severely overpay for Dak when they dont have too? you offer a n employee what you think hes worth , or part ways..

this isnt anti Dak but I dont think AC or Dlaw should have got their deals either but at least theres are15 mil less then Daks asking price..therein lies the issue..

The players might actually sign off on that too.. Not letting 1 position make more then 15%.

So Mahomes is doing it all without top talent at certain positions? What positions would those be? Just curious.
Darrell Williams is not considered a top talent. Sam Watkins is considered a top receiver. Offensive tackle Mitchell Schwartz was the only Chiefs lineman to be voted to the Pro Bowl in 2020.
Mahomes certainly doesn't have the star-studded offense Dak has.

Exactly. The Jones’ kept being cheap azzes surrounding young Dak and Zeke with “WRs by committee”, Nolan Carroll, and a bunch of 2nd and 3rd tier FA’s.

Very simple for me. If Dak signs the tender, so be it. Then he gets a year to prove he can get that 35+ million dollar deal. If he doesn't then he sits out, he only hurt himself. Cause next year nobody is going to pay him 35+ on the open market. Then we have Dalton. Or he could sign in the 30 mil range.

Bottom line we are bidding against ourselves here. We have the leverage, there is no reason to overpay Dak. I don't think they're is a team in football that would give him more than 30 mil on the open market.

Developed a pair?

The biggest balls he has are usually in his mouth.

Stevie being cheap again, nothing new here.
Being cheap and being wise are not mutually exclusive. Stephen is parsimonious and wise. Ask zeke and cook and tank if they think he's cheap.
