I was insulted first with the Romo slant. I guess he forget I was booted off of old forum for bashing Romo’s love letter to say goodbye . Lol

And yes there are. But this isn’t a reasonable one.

I’m not the one with the childish crush. I’m old enough to be these players grandfather.
Should I get your walker for you? lol

I understand, I've been in the same shoes. But your comment wasn't geared toward that one poster - seemed to be aimed at all Dak supporters. Unfortunately, when discussion degrades to that level it gets in the way of rational discussion. But just as unfortunately, there are posters on both sides of most issues that prove to be incapable of rational discussion.

Ok . So you believe Dak plays , performs and produces at the same level last year in his 8 wins as his 8 losses? Okey dokey. Lol

More excuses just like fans used to have with Romo. Just win and shut all of the critics down.
NO THATS NOT WHAT I SAID

I said that his performance is not influenced by good or bad teams, not that he played equally in all wins and losses.

For someone who was literally just crying about the semantics of what you were saying, this is incredibly stupid. Almost as stupid as making w/l the only barometer for whether or not a QB is good.

I try not to direct as to avoid the personal nature. This particular poster attempts to divide and conquer from Romo and Dak fans cause he was a Romo basher, well except when Romo was on the bench. Lol

I apologize for anyone caught in the crossfire becoming collateral damage but this one poster deserves it. He’s a Slobberer.

So, you don’t like being misinterpreted either?

Stop the grade school insults - this discussion can occur without it. There are reasonable posters who believe in Dak, and reasonable posters who are skeptical of Dak. Don't let the extremists define the tone of the discussion
But that's the way it goes and this board isn't probably any different than any other team's with frustrated fans.

This is just like society, you hear and see a lot more from the extreme side of each and usually in the middle is the largest group not feeling the slightest pressure to take a stand.

My take on Prescott is that I believe of all the available options, he gives this team the chance to have a good season this season. Next season, that might change but all of the arguing about and over him isn't going to change the fact he will be the DC QB this season.

If some are so troubled over that fact, maybe they should find a team with a QB that they do like. They can always come back when he's gone.

The one thing that seems to escape many here is that he did improve last season under Moore and he has him as his OC in a new O with a new HC. They want to keep him and that HC is trying to save some face after his replacement took his team to the NFCCG in his first year. The man is seeking redemption and he had the chance coming in to say he wanted another QB but he wants to go forward with Prescott and that's good enough for me.

I let everyone decipher that our for themselves. Are you one who believes Dak plays or produces at that same level against the better or more elite teams?
Dak has. Go do some research of his play (2016 - 2019) next time before sounding extremely ridiculous.

You are correct. Not trying to take anything away from anyone. I just think some of these stats can be counted with leaving all the blame on one side.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think the stat guys go through each and every catch to make sure it's not on the QB. But like I said, even if 7 to 10 of those catches are on the QB, he still leads the league in yardage.

Agree and I don’t think 7-10 of them would be on him anyways. Hawkeye posted something earlier that said it gets counted as a drop when it’s hit both hands.

Every drop was against a prevent defense? Lol
Oh..

You are having a liquid lunch I see.

Very funny.

So every defense Dak played against is a prevent defense..

As in "Prevent Dak from winning"?

I think I like that going to use it in my next Dak Hater thread.

Nope, no liquid lunch. A liquid lunch leads to suggestions like Dak playing only against prevent defenses that wouldn't have allowed long gains. A QB doesn't end up with 4,902 yards solely on underneath passes and Dak was actually 1st in the NFL in completions over 40 yards, and 3rd in completions over 20 yards.

The reality is, sure there were times Dak played against a prevent defense, and probably somewhat more than in his first 3 seasons, but some like to suggest that was representative of his entire season, which it was not. That's just a generalization used to fit a narrative. But there is no logical way to suggest that whatever passes receivers dropped were only short yardage passes against prevent defenses that wouldn't have resulted in gains of any notable yardage.

Yep
0-5 against teams with 10 wins or more last year.

In our 8 losses averaged only 15 points a game. Not what we’d expect from a top 5 QB and #1 offense.

In our 8 wins against lesser opponents he played at a very high level.
very true , and alarming . But in this atmosphere of entitelment many are defending his padded stats. jameis Winston boasts simialar yards , and he got fired.

he has proven to be among the best QBs in the league, in passing and every other stat when given that talent. there is no QB who achieves those high numbers without having talent on the team.

and I keep hearing these padded stats, yet, I have neve seen anyone provide any iota of data or stats or facts to show it...or is it the most accurate of all methods the "eye test" that tells you that....

btw, you can evaluate Dak's performance when Zeke was out and when zeke struggles, you will be disappointed, given your point of view, that perhaps your eye test is failing you again...
wins against weak opponents are expected. All the games where there is a challenge against good teams , Dak chokes.
The reason we don't look at stats is because many losing QBs have them, for example Jameis Winston.
Bottom line: Dak is hard to evaluate as he is surrounded by superior offensive talent, and yet he lost many crucial games , and actually failed to score 1 TD against some teams like the saints and new england and philly.
This is why the hesitation of making him the highest player in the league. Don't you agree ?

Winston also had 30 INT's - we can all make players look good or bad if we limit the talking points only to what suits our purpose.

But yes, the performance against better teams was lacking last year, but it's not all on Dak, just as it's not all on any QB. The Packers were 6-9 with Aaron Rodgers at QB in 2018 - did Rodgers suddenly suck, or does that point to the fact that there is more going on than just the QB?

All that said, without question Dak has things to improve on, and did not perform as well as he could have in some of the losses. All I ask is that posters look at things fairly, and not just at what fits the narrative they want to promote
