For the life of me, I can't understand how fans can love a team and hate an individual player on it. Makes absolutely no sense.

Lol. You keep falling for the trick because you won't put the haters on ignore. Sorry dear, you left yourself wide open for that one. :muttley:

This will cheer you up.

Lol yup

I’ve debated on here more than once, I like him better than Mahomes. For so many reasons.

Reading these threads make me wonder if people watch other teams besides the Cowboys? Heck, do you guys even watch the Cowboys?

Have to laugh that people keep listing Deshaun Watson as a sure fire top 10 qb, but Dak is middle of the road or lower?
and Lamar Jackson gets ignored as well.

What have any of those 8 quarterbacks between Aikman & Romo done?! 8 glorious years of zilch from 8 different Quarterbacks and you're tossing Dak under the bus?!

Wake up people. When the coaching is horrific, so is the team.

So yet another example of deflection. The original post was praising Dak for individual stats yet what have those stats done to help Dallas in the playoffs? Nothing.

Poise, pocket presence, being able to lead the WR or TE and ACCURACY!!
It's been soooo long since we scored like this in the Red-zone that I figured I'd give you a reminder what a true FRANCHISE QB looks like!!

It’s no surprise then that you don’t even watch the games or you would’ve seen many of these last season. Again, no surprise.

LOL...so poised that he choked in the biggest game of the year against Philly when the division and ultimately playoff birth was on the line.

Oh me too. It was only a matter of time before Reid took KC to the big dance. It wouldn't of mattered who was at center. Reid worked independently w/Mahomes which turned him into the gunslinger we've all seen.

Had Mahomes been the QB for Garrett, he wouldn't have a ring today. Lol, not even the great Joe Montana would have one. Coaching is everything. Egals are the perfect example of winning their first ever Superbowl, with a backup quarterback.

Wentz has a ring (zero postseason wins). So I guess he's right up there w/Mahomes. :lmao2:

5. Drew Brees
6. DeShawn Watson
7. Matt Ryan
8. Tom Brady
9. Ben Roethlisberger
10. Carson Wentz
11. Dak Prescott
12. Josh Allen
13. Matthew Stafford
14. Philip Rivers
15. Kirk Cousins
16. Jared Goff
17. Jimmy Garapolo
18. Ryan Tanehil
19. Derek Carr
20. Kyler Murray
21. Teddy Bridgewater
22. Baker Mayfield
23. Sam Darnold
24. Drew Lock
25. Minshew
26. Daniel Jones
27. Dwayne Hopkins
28. Mitch Trubisky

TBD
Joe Burrow
Tyrod Taylor/Herbert
Tua
Patriots starter

This was not easy to do.

I have Dak as 11.

But I'd take him today over Brees, Brady, Roethlisberger, and Wentz when building a franchise.

Just because of their age and Wentz's health issues
.

Curious to see other lists....especially the "Dak haters!"

Pretty solid top 10.

Wentz no chance and I take Dak over Ryan.

So take a good look at that list. In two years you have Brees, Brady, Roth all pretty much gone.
Dak is right up there outside the top 5.

I defined "best" as which qb gives a team the best chance to win.
Well see that would depend on the team he is on , the coaches, and what kind of offense will they run.

A good example is lamar jackson , he had a great year, because harbaugh designed the offense to specifically fit his skill set.
many qb's are forced into a specific offense, not designed for them, and that often does not work out good.

To me you need to look at the whole offense, and the qb skill set and design the offense around what you have, but most teams
dont do that.

Sometimes teams with a good passing qb, will wind up throwing the ball way too much, like NO, and they do good, but not so much in playoffs.
JG did that with romo, throwing 40 to 50 times a game, and that is too much. The game where orton played and lost JG had him throwing
45 times, which was too much , all the while ignoring the run game which at the time was fairly good.

So rating qb's is flawed , because there are too many variables.

As a pure passer, dak is a little above avg, and while he could run good and more often he doesnt. And I dont mean designed runs,
I mean drop back to pass, and if a lane opens up take it.

If u put lamar with JG, he would not do as well as with harbaugh, and JG now has a qb that is a better fit for what he likes to do which is pass a lot.
And jones is a good passer if they can give him a decent pocket and time.

That is why you don't get it. Thankfully, Jerry and Stephen don't think like you.

LOL...….but think about it.....……….even at 13, this is the troll that for 4 years was saying that Dak was backup material. Then he was average. So at least the troll just admitted he was dead wrong on both counts. He now has Dak ranked as above average. :yourock::yourock::dance::dance:

true, Mahomes wound up with the team and coach perfect for him, he was lucky , just like dak was fairly lucky, had the team but not the coaches.

You're exactly right. There are a lot of factors that go into how successful a qb is. Most out of their control. Stafford is a perfect example of that. He's a great QB, but coaching and surrounded talent has really hurt his career. He could be a top 5 to 7 qb on a better team with a good oline.

I guess you could’ve done better with a torn ligament in your throwing shoulder and a broken finger on your throwing hand. You’re so impressive.

I think you'll add players in a few years too though, right?
Possibly 2-3 good one this year and even higher rated one coming in next year.

But yeah, he's in solid position either way if continues to grow.
