Will Dak have his new contract by kick-off?

Will Dak sign a new long term deal by July 15th?

I think the Cowboys FO, Dak and his agent will do whatever they can to arrive at a contractual agreement by July 15th. Whether they're destined to be successful or not is anyone's guess. Either way, Dak will be the Cowboys QB in 2020. Obviously, that scenario really isn't in question. ;)

That's correct, but the question is....does Dak WANT to be with the Cowboys in 2021, or would he prefer to get the contract (money/years) in another city?

If it gets to 2021, it may well come down to either/or.

With the posts you make.....I really wonder how old are you. Like who over 18 even says things like "Dak slobberers"? Like what adult or parent even talks like this?

“Like” who over 18 uses the word “Like” to start 2 sentences back to back when insulting someone else for juvenile language?

Like that’s not cool

Bottom line, does Dak WANT to remain with the Cowboys, or is he prepared to go to a lesser team (e.g. Jaguars)?

The reason I ask is that if he doesnt sign by 15th July, he may be forcing the Cowboys out of the negotiation.
That is exactly what I have been thinking for 6 months. The reason is unless Dak has such an inflated high ego he has to realize he isnt even close to being the best QB in the league and he should of accepted Jerrys first offer. And then for Jerry to put up a second offer even better and he doesnt take it tells me he may not want to be a Cowboy. This length of contract BS and guaranteed money ideas arent enough to stop a contract from getting done. Those things are just minor bumps in the road. One side wants to get the deal done and the other side doesnt. I think Dak wants out.

Given the risks, including the cap situation in a covid affected season or a recession, there is no reason for the Cowboys to revisit Daks contract until early 2021.

I hope not. Would LOVE to see Dalton start AND sign his name by the urinal in the RAMS new stadium first loss to The Dallas Cowboys.
Yours truly, Andy Dalton. Karma :p

I think he wants to but evidently, mainly if it's on his terms. We'll soon see.

If I'm mistaken on that, he'll likely sign for whatever he and Jerry agree to.

If he won't sign, it may be seen as a sign that he'd prefer to go elsewhere.

Dak is under contract this season so it makes little difference if he gets his long term deal this year.

10 days between now and deadline, plenty of time for blinking by the Joneses. And they always blink with the stars in their eyes.

What man comes to another man's defense like a mother would for her daughter? He's a grown adult he can handle himself. Thanks though.
