Well these are some nice words, and the10 year deal is team friendly ."The biggest thing they preached to me is kind of the same thing I already thought. It was good to just hear them. You want to have great players around you. You don't want to be a guy that takes up all the money and then all of a sudden you're having to sign different guys that will take cheaper deals. We're going to be able to reward players and keep a lot of these guys around that have built the culture even before I was here.''

However when he goes from 2 mil a year to 45 mil a year the team is going to be able to keep
a few players. And they will have to go with a bunch of cheaper players.
That is going to be a 43 mil difference in what they have to work with, and is almost 25 % of their whole
salary cap, which is huge for 1 player.
So what he is saying, I have to wonder if he actually believes that lol.
We talked about this in the dak threads, and once you pay a player over the 13% of cap it becomes
a burden.
I cant say what the cap will be in 2022, or how much his cap hit will be that year so dont know what the %
will be.
They can move money around , but that means some low cap hit years, and some high cap hit years.
So Mahomes will be a burden 2 years from now and his pay will eat up a large chunk of the cap.
So no way they can keep all the guys they have now, or get any other guys that would cost very much.
So his statement is pretty much BS.
Basically QB salarys have gotten out of hand, and many of them are making too much money.
Once GB paid rodgers, they never got back to a SB.
