Too bad Dak doesn't say anything controversial, insensitive, or just plain dumb. That way, at least those who dislike Dak could have some character issue to grab onto to justify their opinion.

Instead, Dak has been completely professional during this two year process. He has not resorted to name calling, media propaganda, disruption, or any of the other retaliatory methods used by other players....or team management.

That must be infuriating for some.

Actions speak louder than words.

By not signing a legitimate fair contract Prescott comes as across as someone with delusions of grandeur.

$110 million guaranteed was way too low for a 5 year extension. A "fair offer" would have included around $125 million guaranteed.

No one wants to have that discussion which is why yours and my posts get ignored, lol. I see it though, so there's that. Haha.

guys, lack of revenue may have impacted the deal,or lack of it. Food for thought. ANY OTHER time, I think it gets done. They would have sweetened the pot by a couple mil and we wouldnt be having these threads. SO FAR 2020 has been a cluster PUCK

has anyone found a link or study that shows the FANTASY FOOTBALL IMPACT AS FAR AS REVENUE LOSSES? I imagine it will be horrific. THE NFL benefits tremendously from Fantasy and gambling. Its very important. I am curious just how much money in revenue they have already lost or stand to lose. It could cripple the entire NFL FOR A FEW MONTHS.

Not so sure Ray. I mean, I am not in disagreement over the any other year, maybe a few more duckets to the center but because of where we are at in life, not this year. To be honest, I don't even think it's that big a deal to do it against this years cap but I think because the cap probably freezes or drops in 2020, the tag number Dak gets landed with is a percentage of this years salary so yeah, that could have been in the minds of Jerry or Stephen. But honestly, I don't think it was about money. I think Jerry wants a 5 year deal because that's how the Cowboys do business and Dak and CAA, they don't like that. They want 4 years and that doesn't work with our finances. That's really what I think it was.

He was a playmaker, and actually had accuracy.

Look what he did with Dez. Dak couldn't do even half of that.

It was proven Romo made guys better. Look at LR, Crayton and Austin. Dak can't do that. He has Cooper and at times can't do nothing with him. Even worse if copper is injured or before Cooper.

Right now Cooper carries him.

Why didn’t Derek Carr succeed with cooper then? Lol. Romo has 1 more playoff win than Dak. And he was in the league 14 years. Some playmaker

Guys, stats are nothing more then just that. They are numbers that mean a whole lot of nothing if you don't win.

Mahomes just landed the richest contract, arguably, in sports. This is a kid who lead in no NFL QB statistic last season. Check it, you'll see. Not one but you know what he did do? He won a championship.

Let this be a lesson to all. QBs are judged on what they do in the Playoffs and in Championships. Dak is unsigned even though he put up all kinds of stats. This is how it's always been in the NFL. This is how it still is. This business of the next man up, I think, is short lived. When the owners don't like something, and I believe this is one of those kinds of things, they will figure out a way to change it.

That's just my opinion folks.

Hey facts are facts the cowboys didn't pay him. They have no faith in the bum. Get over it.

Maybe on his next team you can harass those fans, but we will be washing our hands clean of this dude.

So start packing a bag.

Ultimately the responsibility falls on the Cowboys to get a deal done not Dak.

Mahomes didn’t put up the numbers in 2019 that he did in 2018 with 50 TD, over 5,000 yards and a 103.5 PR in his MVP season but he also missed 2 or 3 games due to injury.

Patrick was on pace to go sign the biggest contract without winning the SB. That was icing on the cake.

And I don’t think there’s any dispute that he’s most talented QB in the league surpassing Rodgers deserving of the contract he received which he didn’t have to hold out for or force the Chiefs to franchise tag him.

This notion that winning is the only thing is absurd. His passing ability and stats are among the best since he came into the league. The winning just cements it.

If Dak really called last minute than he needs to fire his agent. IIRC, Lawrence did the same thing which is why he got a deal done.

The Cowboys have never had problems paying players they value so one of two options are correct:
1. Dak’s agent is the problem
2. The Cowboys don’t value Dak

I think we can assume the Cowboys weren’t willing to step up to sign Dak. They offered a contract and that was it. No counter offers , et.

Basically take it or leave it. Looks like Dak will be heading somewhere else after 2021. And that’s fine if you didn’t want Dak.

Not true. Regardless of what you, I, and many other fans might think, the cowboys are sold on Dak. You don't make a 110M guarantee and 50M signing bonus offer to a dude you aren't sold on. Jane Slater reported that Dak wanted to sign the deal but contract negotiations ran up against the league deadline. Unless Dak lays an egg this year, he's going to get a 5 year, 200M offer at seasons end. If he refuses to sign again, he'll get another tag.

I think 200M is insane but its pretty close to what Dallas has already offered.
