I think Zeke is who he is, a stats guy...a great player, put seems to lack the killer instinct in big moments. He doesn't get it. I doubt he will be any different. We gotta understand what he is. POLLARD on the other hand excites me because of what he offers. He is the complete package, THE X FACTOR. So versatile he can play wr and tail back. Not to mention a special teams weapon. The last staff was woeful at getting him involved and that was fireable just on that alone.

I see so Zeke doesnt get a pass with the OLD CLUELESS STAFF But Dak, Pollard and Jarwin do? lmao.. I dont agree i think at some point in games where horrible pay calls like running so much up the middle on first downs, tipping your hand on plays etc etc has EE hesitant at times but i saw a guy last season 2nd half of the season, leading the league in first half yards and showing the cut back skills when he actually had space to work with, gettig nthe tough yards and he led the league in Y a contact for RBs...its all there, he may not be 2016 zeke but neither is dak, the OL, or the defense or ST..

Zeke a star rolling out of bed, his job is stats not sure what else he can do he has led the league not just in yards but over all snaps ie blocking, out ion pass routes, YOC and 2nd in Rushing TDs..

man he sux..lmao he snot a home run hitter and really never was like ES he could do that at times but hes a 3 don back that moves the chains. This entire team suffered din crunch time..its why we have new staff..everyone gets a reset..

He does it for the money, not the fans. Not get paid?! So 30 million wasn’t enough? 40? Nope, it had to be the highest ever for his position for him to be satisfied.

Henry just took half as much guaranteed as zeke without holding out and I’m sure he’ll do just fine on the field and financially.

I dunno, maybe I’m being too hard on him, the price of purses might have gone up or something.
Henry couldn't even beat out DeMarco Murray. Henry has been in the league for years and this is the 1st year anyone is comparing him to the best in the league.

Let me ask you this. Who will it be next year? Barkley . . . Until he gets hurt again. McCaffery? Maybe . . . But the league has tape on Carolina's strategy. Doubtful he will get those big chunks agaian. Nick Chubb? I predict he stays healthy and shines . . . Then the Worse Cowboy Fans in the world will claim he is better then Zeke.

This board is a joke. . . All this Zeke hate was started to counterbalance the criticism of Dak. After years of hearing Dak's success is a product of being Zeke's team mate.

Dak slobberers are now trying to destroy the legacy of our best player. Pathetic.

Cant wait till this clown show leaves town.
Bye Dak thanks for the memories

Outstanding point!
Not true. When you are dealing with lying Fake News who will say anything to stir things up.

These people don't stand by thier word. Zeke is 100% right in those tweets and I support him.

Why not tell these idiots they are intentionaly mistaken. Zeke is who he is. The best RB in the league and if you can't recognize it, then you are just being difficult.

They need to recognize that and put some respect on his name.

And if you don't know who Bird Man is, then you don't even know what this POP CULTURE term encompasses

4th and 1 in Philly, middle of momentum changing drive, where was your boy?
Oh my. . . Are we talking about Emmitt Smith now?

:lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:

Twice he failed. I guess that means Emmitt sucks twice as bad as Zeke?

If this is how we judge them. No?

a monkey can be taught to post stats. it's real opinions that matter to me. stats are like polls. they'll show what you want them to show. porcelain throne material. and trust me on this. i do not read them. not likely anything you read would interest me.
Exactly. STATS are WHACKED.

I am on board with ZEKE as long as he starts fast and is in game shape.. NO MORE SLOW LETHARGIC starts! He looked hesitant, a step slow the last 2 seasons. Just out of game shape. Lets see what he does this year if he can prove people like me wrong .Respect isnt given Zeke, its earned in crunch time. Finishers get respect.

i think most of our losses were attributable to playing against teams whose coaches were able to out coach ours. coaches who could adjust to what we were doing with regular predictability. now that the problem has been culled from our ranks, i would expect everything to get better. on both sides of the ball and on special teams as well.
True story. Can't wait

no he doesnt get a pass. Your right. Nor does Dak. I am a Dak guy though, but he needs to prove he can replicate what he did last year and do it agianst great teams consistently. Under MM he will have his chance. ALL the excuses are gone. YES, the playcalling and situational playcalling was horrid. We agree. Great backs rise above. IS ZEKE THAT? WE SHALL SEE. I love Zeke....he is a stud, but I am so tired of seeing stupid comments posted on social media about respect...DLAW does the same nonsense. They dont seem to understand you must back up your words with RESULTS when it matters most! Otherwise its cheap talk.

Seems like your issues are with Dak?

You do realize that the rushing title is almost always dependent on total carries which is directly reliant on play calling, right? Henry has been in the league the same amount of time as zeke and has tied his ypc average twice and beat it the other two times. He hasn’t been as noticed because he didn’t get the ball as much which has nothing to do with how good he is, that’s coaching, scheme, etc.

Since zeke’s rookie year he doesn’t even place in the top 10 in several categories that are much more independent of play calling and are better indicators of how good a running back is compared to his peers. Broken tackles, short yardage downs, elusiveness, yards after contact, yards after catch, yards from scrimmage, etc) and he’s had one of the best run blocking lines in the league since his rookie year.

Barkley was injured once IIRC with a high ankle sprain that would keep most backs out half the season, if not more, yet he only missed 3 games and still put up 1,000 yards, had a better ypc avg than zeke and did it behind a much, much, mych worse O line than zeke had.

McCaffrey is just better than zeke all around, he’s the best back in the league, he’s the complete package.

You’re out of your league dude, come back to the table with something a little more measurable next time than total yards. Oh yeah, your boy had 4 games last year with 50 yards or less, three of those against playoff teams. Yeah, he’s worth it, best back in the league rising to the occasion

Edit: One last thing, you don’t even know what the hell your talking about with Henry vs Murray, they weren’t even in the league at the same time. BTW, Murray crushed zeke’s best season of rushing by almost 200 yards so I guess he’s better than zeke, lol.

Everything Zeke is saying true, but here’s some more truth:

1,169 career carries and just 4 runs of 40+ yards (3 of those coming in his rookie season).

All elite backs flip the field. He doesn’t.

Zeke Elliot: .34% of carries are 40+ yards.
Emmitt Smith: .38% of carries 40+ yards.

So they flipped the field about the same, one is one of the greatest of all time and the other isn’t even elite.... I’m guessing by your metrics that you don’t feel Emmitt was elite either?

Other notables:

Marshawn Lynch: .48%
Christian McCaffrey: 1.2%
LeSean McCoy: .69%
Jerome Bettis: .28%
Barry Sanders: 1.2%
LT: .72%
Eddie George: .13%
Todd Gurley: .47%
Curtis Martin: .28%

I guess what I’m getting at is that that particular stat doesn’t make someone elite or not. Elliot has done it at the same pace as Emmitt(HOF), way more than Jerome Bettis(HOF), Eddie George(HOF) and Curtis Martin(HOF), yet way less than Barry Sanders(HOF).

Is Zeke an elite back in the NFL at this time? Without a doubt, yes.

murray had a lot of carries that year. probably too many. murray missed multiple games due to injury. zeke's missed none. ergo, zeke's the best.

Oooooooooh...so now carries matter? I thought only total yards mattered, which is it?

BTW, zeke missed 6 games because he has a permanent brain injury that causes him to forget things like being investigated for domestic violence.

why do you contradict yourself. you stated yards were commensurate with carries. i agreed with you. your hatred of zeke has made your thought processes askewed. for someone who loves argumentum ad hominem, i'd think you'd be much better at it.:)

Is that depth of anger close to assaulting someone like zeke does when he gets upset? How healthy is that? I’ve never done it before so I wouldn’t know.

The fact that you are the one who replied says it all. We get it. You do not like Zeke Elliot the player or Zeke Elliot the person off the field. The fact you have to say it repeatedly infers a level of hatred and anger towards the man that is irrational. Assuming that you do not know the man personally. Or maybe this is just your own cheery personality towards everyone.

If someone asked Elliott what he would consider a good season, the answer, I promise would be something like....

"I dunno, 1500 yards, 12 TDs..."

What about a championship?

"Oh yeah maybe that too."

Me first!
I've never seen and interview with him after a game that they lost and he put up big numbers where he didn't say yards don't matter if we lose. Also after big wins, he always credits the guys up front.
