The real selfish and greedy guy in Big D

I don’t think it’s Jerry’s greed that sinks us—-I think it’s his belief that he knows football. He’s spent money on players, stadiums, coaches, merchandise....all of it.

but he wants to pilot the ship he builds and he’s just a bad one.

but it’s his ship.

Change ALWAYS starts at the top. If we expect things to get better ON the field, the change and the example of a commitment to place winning ahead of greed has to start in the billionaire owners box. You know, the guy who makes one billion a year but hasn’t won a divisional playoff game since Dak Prescott was 2 years old.

If Jerry ever shows us he is really committed to winning ahead of his ego and greed, maybe we could start calling out some players too.

Well Bob you may be right about jerry, but it has nothing to do with dak and his greed.

If there were no cap then you would be right, but there is lol.

one thing your not thinking about is the low level pay guys, the more the "stars" get the less there is for them.
As it is now you have a few greedy stars on each team eating up most of the cap, and then the rest of the team gets the crumbs.

Dak is very greedy, and it has nothing to do with jerry.

We had the table set nicely with a promising new coaching staff, a solid draft and FA while signing most of our supporting cast.

We just didn’t take care of the most important position. Our franchise QB.

No telling how this will impact the mindset and locker room of this team bringing so much uncertainty to our future with Dak who has been a true leader on this team.

Anything to rip on Jerry. I think the guy is an awesome person, but not because he didn't pay Dak. You flip in whatever direction it's easiest to blame Jerry.

1. There probably won't even be a season which makes this decision even smarter.

2. I'm betting McCarthy had a lot to do with this decision since Jerry overpays everybody!!

3. Him playing on the tag was the right move for the Cowboys. MM gets a year long job interview to see if he's efficient running a new style of offense.

Then they decide to either pay up... or tag him again.. or move on!!

you hit it , it is his belief that he knows football well enough to be GM
They used to be bad at drafting and trades too, but have improved in those areas, and now with MM and him allowed to hire his own staff is a big step
in right direction.

Dandy, you’re right about the cap. And maybe Dak is greedy. But, who is the bigger long term problem for this franchise? Dak’s greed or Jerry’s obsession with being the face of the franchise?
 
Jerry's first step to a deeper commitment to winning would be to hire a legitimate GM.

A GM must have the ability to bluntly assess the talent level of his team. That ability is severely compromised if he is also the same guy in charge of selling tickets.

If Jerry was as committed to winning as he is to his lust for credit, we wouldn’t have had the last qtr century.

It’s really difficult making any sense out of this response . You seem upset . But at what it’s not clear. Or maybe just defend everything under the Star?
 
Unless they start putting names of deceased suspects on their helmets, I'll be watching.
