I think it's safe to say he is a bust

Not at all. He is just around that 5 years mark and has been used up. Has had injury issues and probably played for one of the worst lines, teams, and offenses since he has been in the league.

3 yrs. His best year was last year, 1152 yds. Misses time every year, though only one game last year.

OL is mediocre.

Their O was 6th in the NFL in 2017 when he was a rook. It has sucked the last two years.

Why not keep issues close to the vest so they can trade the player rather than releasing him and getting no value back? I still find it hard to believe nobody would have traded at least a 3rd or 4th round pick for him.

Why? What team would do that? It would have to be a team that is looking to win it all right now and doesn't have a decent RB. Tampa maybe? How many teams are in that position?

Other than that why would any other team give up a 3rd or 4th round pick and pay him 4 million on the last year of his contract? Only to have to resign him at age 26? That's probably why no one wanted to trade for him.

Man , imagine passing up Jamal Adams , Chris McCaffrey , Mahomes and Deshaun Watson for a guy you cut before his rookie contract expires........

NE does. BALT does. Pitt does. TENN does. Don't see that as accurate.

I love the way NE drafts, but they might as well pass on their 1st round picks for all the good it usually does them.

He looked like a stud coming out of LSU. To be outright cut after 3 seasons he must be a locker room head ache or an extremely lazy player. I don't recall hearing anything about off the field issues with him. Maybe we hear something now?

true. Seems like he has had some team discipline a few times for stuff...but as TO and Antonio Brown can tell you, all the talent in the world, you can still get cut for being a turd...

Every team makes mistakes.

Just don't be the biggest dummy in the room and select one 4th overall, and then ALSO extend him to a huge money deal. Double whammy.

if u run a nfl team just dont draft a rb any where near the top 10 especially not top 5 and never sign a rb to a second contract and u will be way better in the long run. no offence to zeke but it is a dumb thing to do 99.99% of the time.

What would you have done with Zeke? Let him walk?

The Jags didn't pick up his option this off season, so I don't think another team can do so at this time if they sign him.
That's not what I was saying. I was saying a team would have gotten the option if they had traded for him before the option had to be exercised.

5 years is not a magic number for RB's to be dead.

The days of players staying with teams past their first contract are over, now some aren't even playing out that contract.

Agree my man. I absolutely loved watching him rip apart that vaunted Poopsburgh defense during the playoffs in his rookie season. He was an absolute monster. That 'monster' is still in there. He just needs an opportunity.
