So Garrett gets 10 years to mess up the Cowboys legacy. While you can't even wait till the season to call out McCarthy? Yeah we get how much you already miss Garrett.

But to answer your question McCarthy has shown he can make changes during game time. Something Garrett has failed to do even once during his tenure here in Dallas.
Garrett was one of our best puppets with more success than most under Jerry’s dysfunctional wing last 25 years.

McCarthy was hailed as the Savior from Garrett and the puppet era to lead us to a championship. I’m just holding his feet to the fire.

Im not going to enjoy losing with a more proven and successful HC . I accepted it with Garrett cause I didn’t think we had much choice based on our history last couple decades with puppetry coaching.

Well we both know about blind squirrels and their nuts. It's the case with Garrett. He should have had some semblance of success. But we were left with mediocrity. I don't call that success and we the Cowboys with a proud tradition. We should not settle of the just mediocrity and mask it as success.

McCarthy will be held to the fire no doubt. However, what can we do with the slop that he inherited? Especially when there was no preseason. No training camp. No time to really see what they had with the players given. I think the miracle is that we are not 0-3 for the season. McCarthy, with his warts and all, may just give us a winning season and a conference title. I will take that any day over another 8 and 8 season.

Not only have we been swindled by Big Mike, but we’ve been bombarded, bamboozled, and straight up burnt. This was a mistake by Jerry.
My God i see you haven't changed at all since last season. Its week freaking 4 dude. The guy had 0 time to instill his practices, his beliefs, or really anything into this team, we've been hit by injuries at every single position and you are calling him a failure after week 3? Jesus this board sometimes. The first 2 weeks of training came weren't even padded practices. Give it time man.

Based on what evidence do you think McCarthy was supposed to give Dallas an edge?

Time. Time. Time. The other day I watched a video on time. Time is the one thing humans can’t buy. The one thing we cannot manufacture. The one thing that keeps going. We are running out of time. We are killing time. I’m afraid the time is now, brother. You never know when our time could be up. I’d hate to “give this team time” when unknowingly, I only have a year left. Or anyone else, for that matter.

Coach Mike McCarthy’s team has looked sloppy and unprepared too often this season. There have been too many blown coverages, too many special teams miscues and too many penalties.

There has also been some questionable strategy. He was supposed to give the Cowboys an edge on the sideline. Through three games, it hasn’t happened yet.

I said it when he was hired..... who cares, yawn.

Hey, I see Eric Bienemy is now a hot prospect after coming in and turning that KC offense into a Juggernaut. He will soon be a head coach because he has clearly shown he can change an organizations fortunes....... bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Hell be just like the man in Detroit, or the man in XXXX city. Until you land the qb, all coaches ar ethe same.

Billy Boy got to avoid gong 8-8 or worse because he lucked out and landed a HEALTHY former league MVP that is still young to take over for his golden ticket.

I will agree....He's worse than Garrett....offers nothing on gameday. I'm not sure he does anything honestly. Just stands around...doesn't talk to anyone...isn't on a head phone talking. Infact...that headphone set looks more like he's tuning everyone out and just cruising to music.

@ least from Garrett....you got the

McCarthy??? I won't be surprised they get a close up of his face and you will see a mustard stain from a hot dog. Not sure what else he does.

But hey, he doesnt clap, so he is a huge improvement over what we had.....smh

We didn’t know we had a choice with Jerry. That’s the only reason I defended Garrett. Jerry left us with Mediocrity not Jason. After 25 years of his foolishness who knew if he’d ever make a better decision.

Pretty much and it appears the success at Green Bay was more about their QB.

But that’s part of the equation. Some of the offensive decisions have been suspect as well on 4th down.
I'd still take the little change over the last decade of crap from Garret. I'm just saying we have to give him time especially with everything that's going on

This is only about assessing results after the first 3 weeks not a final analysis or conclusion.

It is a valid point for sure. I hope they can gel and work through the growing pains together. The division is obviously there for the taking— and as long as we are all floundering— there is time to right the ship.

I have always adopted Parcell’s perspective on waiting until Thanksgiving to know “what you are.” We are off to a rough start for a variety of reasons— but I will give the staff some grace to find their way through this crap-show.

'Wait til Thanksgiving' is extra appropriate this year, with an entirely new defensive coaching staff and scheme.

He maybe a puppet. But he is the head coach of the Cowboys. He had a chance to do some great things with the Cowboys while he was here. But he did absolutely nothing. That's why he failed.

He didn't know what to do and Jerry had to step in and actually show him how its done.

I wish he would have tried to change the culture and the philosophy of the Cowboys. But I don't think he even attempted to do that. Basically, he was nothing more than Jerry's lap dog and he liked it. He got paid well.

Garrett didn't have the balls to stand up to Jerry. To me, that's a disgrace and embarrassing. He was in a position to right this ship. But he ended up being the problem in the long run.

Clearly no normal offseason, training camp and preseason has negatively impacted the Cowboys. Especially on defense. Just need more time to sort it out. Winnable games coming up.
Exactly! Some fans expect this team to thrive right out of the gate due to a new coaching staff. How quickly they also forget, our new coaching staff needs to repair Garrett' mess.
