I'm so tired of the Dak haters or the Cowboys haters or any haters.......after yesterday how are we still divided here still? We just lost our franchise QB......we're playing with house money. Yeah we suck but right now we are 1st in the division and Dalton looks good.

Yes but that doesn't fit the "narrative" of this thread.
I am only addressing Dak haters not the vast majority of people . Where am I failing communicating that in title of thread? This isn’t about the vast majority of people , it’s about Dak haters that blamed Dak for every loss. Instead of the glaring reality of the defense .

This thread proves cowboys fans suck at reading comprehension.
Are you trying to use "common sense" in the fan zone.
its not anti Dalton though. It’s the fact that Dak haters blamed Dak for every loss . Now that Dak is no longer around they won’t blame the QB ( who is not at fault either ) they will then blame what it was all along , defense, proving their Dak hatred bias. What you call drama I call facts.

Did the defense get better all of a sudden? I saw a very slight improvement, but hey played the Giants.

As far as Dalton, I don’t think he is getting 31 mil this year. The expectations are not high. Get it!

Excellent point.

No, I will 100 percent guarantee you that no Dak haters will do that on this board. It's a greater certainty than gravity, taxes, the Pope being Catholic, or water making stuff wet. Save this post, screen shot it, record it in any way you want. How am I so sure? Because there are no Dak haters here and there never have been. The "Dak haters" thing is a fiction dreamed up by people who don't like any disagreement. No one on this board has ever hated Dak. What some fans have done is voice concern over some of his play when he was struggling. Some fans have voiced concern over his salary negotiations, something that's had absolutely nothing to do with any hatred toward this man. The concerns about that have been about how his money will affect the salary cap and thus whether or not the team will be able to afford the talent needed around whoever plays quarterback. You're free to agree or disagree about his contract, his money, etc. Claim that the team could pay Dak exactly what he's asked for for the number of years he's asked for and there will still be enough left under the cap for the other positions. Claim there won't be enough left for those positions and thus we'll be salary-cap hung. Either claim is an opinion that is perfectly fine to voice. And neither one is about hatred for Dak.

Now, of course you'll "prove" your opinion when the inevitable criticism of the defense happens. This defense has not played well this season, and is nearly certain to have some struggles in future games. Duh. Thus there will be some legitimate criticism of it. That would happen if Dak hadn't gotten hurt (and was happening before he got hurt). That will happen with him being hurt and Dalton playing. And somehow that "proves" that fans hate Dak. Nonsense. It proves that fans care about this team, and that they can see the obvious. We need improvement on defense. Big time. Fans pointing out doesn't show hate for Dak. We're lucky to have a highly capable backup quarterback. But he'll have his bad plays. He won't play perfectly. Shocker. And when that happens, fans will discuss it, as is the case with any starting quarterback or backup.

Can we once and for all put to rest the fiction that fans here hate Dak? Having an opinion on Dak's contract or is effectiveness as a quarterback has nothing to do with hate.

There have been a variety of opinions on Dallas Cowboy quarterbacks for decades. Back when Danny White had accomplished a lot as the starter, but could not get the team past the NFC title came, some fans wanted the team to start this new guy, Gary Hogeboom, a quarterback who clearly had better mobility. I disagreed with that opinion, as I thought White was better overall. But those who wanted to give Hogeboom a shot weren't Danny White haters. They were fans who thought the team should try something different (and they got their wish in '84).

They didn't hate Danny White.
Fans here don't hate Dak Prescott.

So just stop.

The thread isn’t about Dalton though , he’s fine and I wish him the best and he won’t be to blame when we lose . ‘the thread is about the irrational Dak haters who blamed Dak for every lost instead of the historically bad defense.

So you’re saying that someone posting “ we finally have a starting caliber QB “ isn’t being a Dak hater ?

I’m not . I’m stating a fact that as soon as this defense blows up game it will be the fault Of defense and not dalton’s. The Dak haters blamed Dak not defense,

I don't hate Dak. I just think his salary demands were ridiculous. A QB at what he wants, needs to deliver more than he has shown.

If he was top 5 I'd expect him to demand top 5

Do you accept he's thrown away a few games in his career making boneheaded throws into coverage he shouldn't have?

Nobody hates Dallas Cowboy's quarterbacks like Dallas Cowboys fans.
Very true, from White to Dak. Staubach and Aikman got a little love but even those guys had fans from their own fanbase hate them.

At this point I think it's impossible for anyone to ignore how bad the defense is.
