We complain about the extensions of D Lawrence, Zeke, Cooper etc....but ALL of those guys have shown sustained productivity...which at least warranted or allowed me to understand why they were paid. I have yet to have anyone show my why we made him one of the highest paid ILBs in NFL history.
We know why... because he was a great story.

And Jerry loves paying players he drafted because he thinks it makes him and his people look like good talent evaluators. Especially the players Jerry took a gamble on, because we know Jerry loves to brag about what a risk-taker he is.

Jaylon is practically Jerry's dream player, whether he can actually play or not.

I hear you....but that happens all the time. What I cannot understand is the extension. That screams the organization saying "we don't want to admit the gamble did not pay off, so we are going to double down and extend him" What REAL football organization does that?

So what you are saying is we aire not a real football organization?

I think Jaylon should be used as a 3rd down OLB that only blitzes and occasionally covers the flats. He's too dumb/lazy to play ILB. He's got the speed and power to blitz effectively

He got paid, he's now saving his body for his post-career mogul life.
I can understand WHY people might think that. But I think it is more simple than that. He simply cannot play. Effort should be EASY thing. Effort cannot be coached. As an organization....the Cowboys would (or should) lose the lockeroom if they let this guy get away with a lack of effort week after week. I think the organization knows, the players know...AND he knows he cannot play. But what I can't figure out is....how long are they going to let this continue. Since fans now have access to the ALL 22....clearly the Cowboys should understand that they cannot hide him from us. Right now they are insulting our intelligence....but I guess that has never mattered to them.

Jerry's not gonna let his multi-million dollar LB sit the bench cause that would show how dumb the FO is

THIS has to be the ONLY explanation. But if we can see he can't play....EVERYONE can see he can't play. So what message does that send to the rest of the lockeroom?

Shame the league can't hit these players in the pocketbook based on their performance. We'd see a dramatic change on Dallas's defense.

Looks like a guy who's doing everything he can to not get injured even at the cost of actually playing defense. I understand his mentality, but you can't play that way in the NFL. He's shown flashes, but still makes way too many business decisions and can't cut on a modern NFL level. He's a consistent liability. He needs to be replaced.

Are you guy forgetting something about Jaylon ? He got his share of the pie, and we all know what happens to players that get a slice of JJ's Pie.

He is already a millionaire, and by lingering around like he's doing will only net him more millions. Looks like he is milking the team.

I can only dream of being a milkman for the Cowboys netting millions. But you have to admit, its not a bad business decision for one who blew out his knee in college.

I have been saying for a long time that we are an entertainment conglomerate.....and football is just a part of it. Jerry throws the biggest party every sunday....and he does not care WHO comes....just make sure you come. Butts in seats. As a businessman....it is pretty crafty. He showed all the other owners how to leverage your stadium for more than 8 games a year....again...pretty crafty. The winning part would be nice....but losing has not hurt the biggest objective in the least bit. The value of this franchise goes up every year. WoW! Just WoW!!!

Well I'm a long time fan....and I've noticed the guy has no business being in the NFL...so I guess Jerry will wait until he is cut and NOBODY in the NFL signs him.....to once again prove how dumb the FO is? If he gets signed....I cannot see him making it out of camp for any team in the NFL. He can't play special teams because he does not have the physical toughness and the reckless attitude. He can't or should not start. There would not be a home for him anywhere else in the NFL. Just like there would not be a home for a GM with Jerrys track record over the last 25 years anywhere else in the NFL.

What’s hilarious is after the Giants game where he actually made some positive plays some of the board blowhards were crowing like “heeehaaw, he’s back!!! I thought you said he was supposed to suck?!?!.”

Translation: Cal Poly got schooled last week and spent this week hoping Jaylon would loaf late in a blowout so he could start a thread about it.

"He sucks until he doesn't" is about a bright as Cal Poly gets.

but more often than not....he gets stonewalled or runs into the back of his own teammates when he blitzes

JLaw may honestly be the dumbest football player in the league. No anticipation, horrid angles, can't read plays to save his life.

Its amazes me how he was ever considered a blue chip prospect. Hell it amazes me how he played in 2018, or for that matter last week. Why is he capable of doing so much better but then manages to do so much worse?

Sturm is comical, propping up his floundering QB who was in the Jason Garrett QB training route, while the team was ready for a SB run. Now he’s complaining the roster blows after all the talent drain. You think Sturm?

Not really...he sucks 75% of the time. And I don't have a dog in this fight. I recognized that about him a long time ago....so I just chime in when a new thread starts up about this guy. Clearly...there is a good portion of the fanbase that are at a loss for words on what that guy is doing out there on the field. Anyone who thinks he is even an average football player have been hypnotized by Jerry.
