Zeke is no where in the class of Emmitt Smith. Not even close. If we can find a team dumb enough to take on his contract, its a no-brainer trade.
Never compared Zeke to Emmitt....other than what I thought about KMoore early eagerness to turn the offense into Boise State/Big Sky play-calling. I still agree that KMooore would discard an attribute that's away from his "video" play-callin'. (as recently described by a critic).

I wouldn't, no. But I'm a big Amari fan, and I appreciate all that he brings to the table. I'm also not bothered by his demeanor, because I feel like he's just a different kinda guy. I don't read into it the way some do.
Cowboys down 21-0 in the '94 NFCCG, Michael Irvin was lighting into this team on the sidelines. Please look at the GIF, and tell me when was the last time you saw this from a Cowboy player? I need at least a bit of this from a guy making 100M.

Cooper produces, I don't care if he is not a prima donna rah rah boy or not.
Where and when in a big game?

You've got ex-players like Bart Scott telling you how the league views the Cowboys as soft choir boys yet some of you still don't get it.

Just once.

I'd like to be the team who trades players for valuable resources before the trading deadline instead of the stupid team who gives up valuable resources to get high priced players.

They need to be trading for draft picks pronto. Load up. But Jerry loves using premium resources on overpaid players.

Given some of the big catches and big hits that he has taken I don't see him as soft. The comment on being soft had much more to do with the DLaw statement of the defense being soft. As for Cooper once we got Gallup and Lamb into the mix I fully expected to see different guys each week to lead and thus far we have seen big games from each of these guys. WR can only do so much like his job and his responsibility not other players responsibility especially on defense. Cooper job is WR not cheerleader and right now I hear a lot of guys doing more talking tough and playing soft, Cooper has not been one of them

What are you going to get for him? Late round compensatory pick? Ok...

This is not Madden.

and how do you know we aren’t resigning him?

You're not going to get anything more for him than you would a comp pick if he signs elsewhere.
Exactly
Though I’d rather get it next year than the year after
I’m not convinced the market would be as hot for him as some think myself
But if I could get what I could get in a comp pick I’d trade him just to get it sooner

He was a FA for months and hasn’t improved his worth here, that says it all. Only Jerrah and homers bought the hype as usual.

Yes, all players should be on the table for potential trade partners.

Ravens and NE could take the bait,,they need a #1 WR , you never know.. we wont get much for him and wit the bonus dead cap money do we do that..

No its not smart to eat that much dead cap space to move player for a low draft pick because that will we would get 4th and lower due to contract..

Ravens and NE are two of the best run teams in the league. No way would they trade for Cooper and his contract. When has Bellichick paid a receiver? They traded for Moss an got him for cheap, when he wanted to get paid they traded him. They look at low cost high reward and don’t over pay at skill positions.

trading Amari would be extremely foolish and shortsighted. his contract is structured excellently, and we get far, far more value by having him this year and next.
Actually, it wouldn’t be short sighted at all. Not if the plan is to extend Gallup and have him and Lamb as your top WRs (and Wilson as your #3)

If we lose the next two games, would you trade him to a contender before the November 3rd deadline?

Isn't that what a smart organization would do?

We're not resigning him.
Depends on what we could get. Sound thinking, especially with gregory's return.

Actually I'm pulling for SACK's and more SACK's from ALdon if he walks in the offseason here comes a 3rd Round Comp Pick

specifically in that exact scenario it is. there's zero reason to decide now between Amari and Gallup, if that's a decision that will be made. Amari's contract is much more flexible (and tradeable) after next year, and Gallup isn't due to be extended until then. We'll have a better idea of the post-covid cap/market and go from there.

Wow yet another user who thinks trading a player that has played pretty good is the cure to fix this team. Why not just announce to the league to make offers for any player on the roster. No offer will be to small, no offer will get turned down.
