Yeah, he refuses to believe a good businessman is not a good GM.
Normally good businessmen learn these things after 25 years.

I mean Jerry has nothing to show for the Dallas Cowboys since Jimmy made that team.

It is like he wants to spite himself... "I will prove that I can do this before I die."

That is the only thing I can think of. But, I don't know why he doesn't think hiring a real GM, is a bad thing. He still gets credit for the hire
if things go well.
Jerrys correct in this particular situation, cant give up on the coaches in year one, 7 games in with all thats happened and to keep harping on it would frustrate me as well..

the media is fishing and wont let up, they want a firing to spice up ratings. Its not happening nor should it..

jerry and Stephens responses are fair..

sorry if you cant see past that d why they are tried of answering the same questions..

MM didnt see this coming, we didnt see this coming and we are NOT playing with the Team that was supposed to start..not even close
dont say next man up thats if we lose 2-3 starters but to lose the entire OL and some of their backups, the QB , the backup qb and many defensed is obviously the main reasons for the bad year..no coach could fix this

they couldn't see that Mccoy, Hill, Haha, Poe, Asmith, griffen , tank and add Gregory would not live up to expectations or get hurt..

we have missed like what 13 starters on this team so far and now Dak and Dalton go down...the players brought in FA didnt pan out ..blaming coaching especially MM at this point is baseless and ignorant..

dont be that fan who are blind to the product on the field , injuries', and circumstances and how they unfolded..

it never got started..thats the deal..

they deserve 3 seasons to fix the last decade of old schemes and culture and that mean showing a lot of progres after year 3 with year 4 better bring some real success, if not then they should be let go and reboot.. i mean jeez we lasted through 10years of Garett some ups a lot of disappointment and after all these injuries' fans and media cant understand why this is such a chit show..more then one draft and FA period is needed to fix this..
I’m with you about McCarthy. He definitely deserves a chance. Best coach they’ve hired in a long time. Give him time, please.

how can you expect a new staff to overcome all that, its insane..

some fans are so emotional they cant see past reality's.. they want scapegoat and of jerry and Stephen are it , thats fine but not the new coaching staff

they will get 3 seasons to show marked improvement..thats fair , if going into year four McCarthy doesnt have this team rolling with an identity and competing for an NFCCG then reboot..not 7 games into a injurys riddled season..

In Jerry’s mind he’s a GM that has three SBs and that’s more than the vast, vast majority of GMs in the league, and he’s right, which gets to the crux of the problem. He has hardware that is wildly, and I mean WILDLY, out of proportion with his actual talents as a GM.

However, he will never back off from the point of contention he had with Jimmy Johnson over who was the straw that stirred the drink on those SB teams. It was him. After all, like he said in 1994, any one of 500 coaches could coach the Dallas Cowboys.

The only way you can hurt the Jones family and get them to get off their high horse and fix this thing is stop showing blind loyalty to them and putting money in their pockets. As fans we love to display our love and loyalty to the star....but one thing has happened this family has put their name before the history of this great franchise. I personally will not spend another red nickel on them until it gets fixed.

He did have your man but now he's got his man. I think he's had too many men. I would have stuck with Parcells and those moobs.

Parcells was great. He just didn’t want the gig.

Yeah. Parcells wasn’t forced out. He left of his own volition. I even remember him saying he didn’t have the energy required anymore to be a coach in this league. He and Jerry are still relatively good friends from what I understand and he’s even defended Jerry by saying there is a misperception out there about his meddling.

Such a sad time for us Cowboy fans to have this egotistical lunatic running the great name of the Dallas Cowboys into the ground. Just go away Jerry.

Just listened to the interview with Jerry. There will be no wholesale rebuild in the off season even if we finish 2-14. The DEF needs a total rebuild and this will be done in terms of the draft and free agency where it can but not at the cost of being uncompetitive in 2021.

That's the winning side of a loss, seeing him. I didn't see them show him in DC and he didn't get a whole lotta face time in the AZ game.
Yes, it’s a mixed bag of emotions.

On one hand we hate to see the season crash and burn. Nothing worse than watching meaningless Cowboy games especially this far out.

But on the other hand we can take some comfort in watching Jethro face the fire.

And some Cowboys fans want to believe that we are a Trevor Lawerence away from the issues with this team being solved, when it's all about the culture that Jerry Jones has allowed for the last 20+ years.

Well we should all just give up then right? No one thinks a rookie QB will fix our defense. We all get the JJ root of the problem argument, but what do you suggest from there? Are we supposed to wait for a new owner to have hope or is it reasonable to change our expectations with player and staff changes?

All of the people who applauded the FO (SELF INCLUDED) during the offseason look stupid now. Most look like hypocrites as well, because we were sending compliments after the draft and free agency.

Those that held tight and said we suck no matter can take a victory lap, though the same people always say we suck. So its a bit of a broken clock scenario.
