Well, I was right, they burned down my thread suggesting we go Italian and I anticipated that but I did think we would get more posters on the DiNucci Saluto Day and I only saw one doing some lasagna. So, that leaves it up to me to take my own advice and for the first time in my life, that is just what I shall do. I have passed on that up until now for good reason because most of my advice was out of the "need to say something to stop the crying".

I, almost alone, will carry the DiNucci flag and hope they don't need it to drape over his casket. Rookie QB, soft OL, mad Eagles with that diabolical, evil and twisted Schwartz directing them. You ever take a good look at his eyes? The Devil I tell you! I hope the young man is agile and nimble of foot.

In honor of the unofficial "Get Nooched Day", I will begin the evening with Campari and soda and Peroni beer, Antipasto salad, Clam, Mussels and Shrimp Linguine, Italian crusty loaf, Pinot Grigio and will retire to the veranda for the second half with stogarino (Italian for cigar) and Amaretto laced cognac. I will also greet everyone I see today with "Buongiorno" and took Italian lessons from this young lady. Looking for something to be thankful about? Be thankful you're not around me today.

That's friggin' adorable....and annoying.

Today is my birthday and my mom made me my favorite cake.
Cracker Barrel Coca Cola cake
Happy birthday..........I gotta say, I've never heard of Coca Cola Cake.

The burrito is on the menu, not the baby. Some people just have to be told....

Nice! Good for you....... :yourock:
Thanks man! It was tough staying and going back every year (9th-12th) when I didn’t have to but I have zero regrets. I’m now 42 and the older I get the more thankful I’ve become for the school, the staff/faculty, friends, experiences, etc.

At least you get lovely fall color there in early October. In Texas our leaves go from green to brown because no one plants sugar maples or sweetgums. :(
Ugh...tell me about it, that’s one of the many reasons I can’t wait to retire and move.

Yeah if I could snap my fingers and live anywhere I wanted, it would be the coast of Maine near Acadia National Park, like Bar Harbour or Bath or one of those other postcard towns!

The NE fall colors are still the best but the yellow aspens in CO are pretty awesome, especially the way the leaves flutter. I have a cousin that lives in the Berkshires of MA, beautiful small NE town. Norman Rockwell museum is right around the corner as well.

Autumn in New England is overrated. It's pretty for a week or two, then you spend 4 or 5 Saturdays picking up leaves. Then it snows, sometimes before all the leaves have fallen..............."Overrated" might be the wrong word. More like "sucks".
