One thing that is a factor in this is the same issue with Prescott, the team around them. Lawrence, Fields and Trask all have excellent teams around them and 2 or all 3 of the 3 should be in the CFP so they're used to being surrounded by a good team. Lawrence has had as talented a team as there is in college ball on both sides of the ball.
That was the same issue I saw with Murray and Burrow, the talent around them and LSU set the record for draft picks off one team. However, when you watch them play, you see it. They're special, they can do things others cannot.
I feel that if the Cowboys stick with Prescott, the margin for error for the team around him will be considerably thinner than if they had one of these young studs.
One thing you need to consider about Prescott, not many rookie QB's come into the situation he did with that OL, run game and receiving corps. The two previous ones that did were Marino and Rothliesberger. And there is no getting around the one stat even the Daksters can't justify, his record against the better competition. He's good but not good enough.
