We had 150 run yards, better pass protection than we've had in ages and a defense that stepped up (kind of), so Dalton just had to stay on script. He didn't need to win, he just needed to play solid football and not lose. Those are the kind of situations he was best at in Cincinnati.

Minus the pick, he did exactly that. And the 4th and 6 play was a big boy throw.

Still not seeing what I thought I'd see but he was serviceable. So I'm thinking a C

Just curious what some other fans think of his Sunday's game.....

Side note: I'm not convinced Gilbert would not have also this game. Something about him that gives me more confidence that Dalton......maybe moxie.

I honestly think he looked terrible. Several easy picks dropped. Almost ruined the game at the end there bounced off a DB's chest in the endzone. He was off all game long and it was bad. Only good throw I saw was the one to Cooper on the 4th down at the end.

All 3 TD's were 3 yarders. One guy was wide open, the other was in the flat to Zeke and the 3rd that Lamb caught was so off it was a miracle he caught it.

Gilbert was much better.

Dak has no part in the rest of this season. He is irrelevant.

I am not saying andy is a superstar, but he has thrown for 300-400 yards many many times. Do you really think that is not possible with this receiver group?

But even if he doesn't, and he is your so called "bus driver" and doesn't get the cowboys into a situation where has to wing it 50times. What if the run game keeps improving, and play action starts working. What if they continue to get turnovers on defense.

one long run for a first down
critical throw on fourth down
taking the team down and getting points before the half
game winning drive with a touchdown

we say all that last night

Dalton didnt lead anything. He was terrible. Defense saved us the first half and Pollard and coaching saved us in the 2nd half.

Nice throw on 4th down, but that was it.

Gilbert was better? Did he lead the team down for the winning score when it mattered?

The last bit of the 2nd quarter, how did the cowboys get down the field to the 2 yard line for the field goal? How did the cowboys get down the field in the 4th quarter for that short td pass?

He threw the passes that got them down the field. Are you complaining that it ended with a short TD pass, opposed to scoreing on a longer TD pass?

Fans were writing off Dalton after his first two starts. Most wanted Gilbert who only had one career start and looked better than Dalton. Dalton has played three games with these receivers and hasn’t come close to passing for 300 yards. He’s a bus driver! End of discussion.

If you cant analyze QB's I cant help you. I could care less about Dalton or Gilbert. Gilbert was much better. Dalton didnt lead anything.

His first game in, he lead a game winning drive.

His 2nd game he threw for around 250 in his 2nd game, where zeke fumbled 2 times and killed 2 drives, gallup dropped an easy td pass, and the refs killed momentum by not calling PI on the lamb tackle

His 3rd game he led a game winning drive for a TD

I am not claiming Andy is a superstar, but he is better than Gilbert

Not impressed at all. Were you? Gilbert was much better. Short TD pass was a great play call. Wide open. Any QB could have thrown that. My grandmother could have thrown that.

Gilbert was much better. Now whether he can play that well every time is questionable.

You don't have analyzing skills

Gilbert threw for 243 with 1 TD and 1 Interception, in the only nfl game you have ever seen him play, in which he failed to lead the game winning drive when he had a chance

You can not make any analyzation off of that. All you have is I like gilbert better

Dalton is terrible and has been as horrible as most knew he was. He has actually been worse. He was a little better last night, but still terrible.

I could care less about Gilbert.

Gilbert was under duress all night against the #1 D in the NFL with Pittsburg. Dalton had short fields all night, the help of a very good run game and playing the pathetic Viking defense. Very little pressure last night. Even with all that he was terrible.

Gilbert also came in with one week to prepare in an offense he has never played in right off the street. His play was incredible considering. Dalton had two weeks to prepare for the horrid Vikings. Dalton has been as bad as advertised. Worse.

Yet 2 of the few cowboys wins, had the ball in his hands at the end of the game when it mattered.

I am not an Andy fan, but I enjoyed the game against the vikings. It was fun to watch. I think he will get better.

And dalton didnt have 2 weeks. He was in concussion and covid protocol. he couldn't even be with the team.

So, he got thrown into a game when he wasnt expecting to play, and led a game winning drive. Got beat down in his first full game after a week of preparation. Came off concussion and covid protocal, had a week of preparation, and led another game wining drive

Ill tell you what............he did a nice job on that final drive Sunday. Other then that he was terrible all night and as bad is it gets the other two starts.

Personally, I think Gilbert played much better. But since I am hoping for a high pick, they can play Dalton all they want. That suits my agenda fine.

Cool, answer this last question and I will leave you alone.

If dalton continues to play better, they cowboys but up 30+ points in some games, dalton throws for 300-400 yards in some games, and maybe they get into the playoffs, what do you think about your own qb analyzation skills that you mentioned

How does Dalton's future QB play have anything do with me? If Dalton plays well, he plays well. Oline has to play well for Dalton to have a shot. Given plenty of time, Dalton can hurt you. Any QB can hurt you.

Through his first 3 starts he has been terrible. Only way to go is up.

Dalton was a C. He missed throws, but made some...and threw behind WRs at times. I think the CD Lamb TD was miraculous because CD didn't run a crisp route to the pylon, he ran a more shallow route...so I don't think that was on Dalton. He made a good through, CD just ran a slightly off route, but he made up for it with an amazing catch.

I think the play calling was better, and of course the running game (and offensive line) had one of their best games of the year (and the defense made some plays0....so that meant we didn't need as much from Dalton. He didn't have to be better than a C to win.

Next up, Thanksgiving, with all eyes on the Cowboys...can he play better? We'll see. A C grade won't win many NFL games. But with everything else around him coming together, the Cowboys survived with a win.

I am glad it is only a few days away. I am ready to watch another game
