What happens to the QB position now?

What's funny is somebody actually believing and typing that LMAOOOOO :lmao2:

wow, a Dak lover who wants to ignore stats is a novelty for sure. But denying his first year stats is consistent with denying his limitations: he still throws balls above and behind and below receivers. So if that is the improved accuracy you are claiming then the bar is pretty low. Though I love the irony of your Quincy Carter account name and your QB evaluation of Dak.

Obviously, it's not obvious to you......to most others it is. Dak wants to be paid like an elite QB I chose those to compare, and he isn't. Not even close. Hopefully that helps bring things into focus for you.

Okay let me say this really slow for you.

You compare him to Mahomes, saying he's not that level.
I say of course he's not Mahomes, nobody is. Captain obviois.

You response js... obviously to everyone but you... after I pointed out how obvious of a point it was. LOLOLOLOL ***?

We really need minimum IQ scores for this board.

Also Mahomea got paid $50M a year, Dak is looking for $10-$12M less than that, just to blow another huge he in your argument. Lmao.
This is too funny.

So you're saying that Dak is worth more than Wilson?

From reading your posts.....you're the last person that might want to get into an IQ discussion........You seem like the type that surrounds himself with even less intelligent friends so they make you feel smarter. The one eye'd King in the land of the blind so to speak. Good for you my young friend.

Your very first line says you ignore stats

You then proceed to ignore every accuracy stat out there, including completion % and completion % over expectation which accounts for distance, proximity of defender, etc which shows Dak has been one ofnthe most accurate passers since entering the league.

"He throws above, below, behind his receivers" lol. Y'all love not bringing anything valuable to the table.

Actually many said the contract was an overpay given Romo's lack of playoff success just like many on here say Dak should not receive a big contract extension given his lack of playoff success.
End the end JJ makes the call and he doesn’t care what fans think. If he says they’re keeping Dak then they will.

I give examples, you don't. I pointed out how stupid you sound and why. You "from reading your posts". Give up little guy.

Why when I surround myself with less intelligent guys when I have you here?

i expect dak will be just as intractible this year as last year when it comes to getting a deal done. there won't be any home town discount. signing him long term, imo, remains just as problematic after this year as it was last year. probably tagged again. we wanted him last year. he said he wanted to be here last year. but at the end of the day, it didnt happen.

Most of the problems the Cowboys had in signing Prescott was due to his agent and because of the way he handled Prescott's negotiations it got him fired from CAA who he worked for. The last hour or so Prescott was doing his own negotiations and they agreed on 35 mil but couldn't get the length and guaranteed amount done in time. Where as the doctors and trainers have said that he'll be go to go for next season he knows he'll still have to prove that there are no mental issues about the injury and because of that I don't think that he's going to hold out for some really huge contract. I also think he didn't like all of the negative press he got about not signing a long term deal and the way France handled his negotiations.

Teams say stuff all the time and then do the opposite. I hope your not taking everything Ol Jerruh says literally.

There is a lot of BS that goes on around draft time by most teams and that is called gamesmanship, but when both Jerry and Stephen have said Prescott was their QB as many times as they have on so many different times during the year they would both look so foolish if they didn't mean it and did move Prescott. It would also make everyone, players and coaches not trust anything they say when they've so adamant about Prescott and then move him. Do I believe everything Jones says about every player, no, but when he says the same thing as many times as he had, yes I do believe that.

if, science willing, the vaccine is successful, the growth rate will only be affected one year. jmo. but the battle for the pie will not change this year.
Remains to be seen how they will address the cap drop this season because they're not about to let that many players hit FA and force teams to lose valuable players. I can see the league and NFLPA agreeing to keep the cap flat with this year.

This ratings drop is an anomaly and those people stating that the real life statements the players are making has made them leave the sport are totally full of crap. How much time does that take and does it take away from the game? Hell no. The only pregame stuff I've seen are he moments of silence for those lost to the pandemic and the frontline health care professionals.

Watching these games without the stands full of fans is just too odd. At first it was a novelty but the fans are a part of the game. We didn't even get to see if the Raiders fans would create a new Vegas Black Hole. That Browns game against the Ravens was definitely missing those fans and might have had an effect on the final score. Even ATT would have been rocking with a beatdown of the Eagles like that and winning the 3rd in a row.

Some are pissed at the NFL and think this ratings drop will affect them. They're going to be really unhappy when they see this next deal done. The drop only affects the rates and the league created some more inventory for the nets. It is still, by far, the best ratings machine for TV.

The QB market is insane. Neither Wentz nor Goff are worth the dollars they have been paid and it would be insane to pay Dak what he is demanding because he like Wentz and Goff is a middling QB.

If Dalton isn't able to find a starting job, he could very well resign here as this is where he's from. I consider it unlikely though, cause there are so many teams who need QB's and only 3-4 will be able to fill them through the draft.

Dalton would be nothing more than a stopgap but if we make the play-offs and somehow get to the divisional round, he will most likely price himself higher than most teams would be willing to pay.

Would that happen if they actually performed to their contract dollars?

no in sports and entertainment all actors and athletes are paid far too much for the common man to understand and none truly earn it in our eyes..its far to high of expectations judge if they are earning it after they get paid, most were paid for what they did prior, its what earned them the deal in the first place, yes the hopes are they keep up at that level but fans ARE FICKLE AND NEED TO MIND THEIR OWN BUSNESS ON WHAT MAN MAKES AND IF HE/SHE IS EARNING IT..THATS SUBJECTIVE..

ALL THE EX ATHLETES WITH CTE AND debilitating life long injuries' after playing would say they earned it..ever see Earl Cambell and other walk at 50? what Mohmad Ali went through? they hardly can..earn , well id say they earn it if the boss is willing to pay it....

they played HS, college and now pros to get that check it took 10 years or more for it to pay off and now their body and brains are getting beat in..

First of all, anyone who think L Collins' contract is bad is stupid, because it's one of the best contracts in football.

Second of all, the bigger point is that sports fans think everyone is overpaid. There's rarely any legitimacy to that nonsense.

I didnt say that im reiterating WhaTS BEEN POPULAR SUBJECTS AFTER GETTING PAID..WHAT YOU DONT REMEBER ALL THE OUT OF SHAPE TALK AND LC NOT WORKIG HARD ENOUGH AND HE CAUSED HIS OWN INJURYS AND NOW IS OVERPAID, they were claiming him lazy and unprofessional.

MY POINT IS AND WAS DAKS NOT ALONE INTHE HATE POSTS , ALL PLAYERS WHO GOT HUGE NEW DEALS HAVE BEEN TARGETS..

I just have to note that Dak wants a 4 year contract. The total amount of cash that Patrick Mahomes gets from when he signed the deal to the end of 2024 (year 4) is about $142m or 35.5m per.

Based on reports, Dak was asking for Mahomes money. He just wanted a much shorter contract than Mahomes wanted.

So, “gamesmanship” is why they didn’t get the deal done. Ah ha.
Gosh, I hope there isn’t any “chicanery” in the next negotiation and subsequent tag....

“Tag” wants elite money. And DAL simply said no. That’s what all of these contracts come down to. Money.

so No QB ever taken after pick 10 round one has evert been good LMAO..seriously Rogers late first , brady 6th round ,dak 4th round i can go on forever..wasnt RW a 2nd rounder? come on man its not about where you pick its about who you pick..heck sometimes an UDFA like Warner and Romo get passed on,..

Now back to reality's

Dalton will not be our starter unless dak plays hardball, he has to compromise and come with more team friendly deal.. I think we FT him but his response to it will be key, will he hold out, will the FO cave? we need Dalton for insurance as backup.. Dalton is not better then Dak ,

however,

Dak is not worth over 35mil and if he ants even more like 38-40 give the new market, and wont help the Fo with better contract structure this time..he maybe traded , not because we dont want him but paying Dak over 35mil is hard to stomach..

I want Dak back but not if hes unwillingly to come more to the middle like the FO tried to get him to do the last 2 Offseason..

Dalton not the future but he could be a nice bridge.

nothings really changed, this is up to dak now..how will he react to all that happened, does he soften his stance some or forces a huge deal or trade? he will hold out IMHO

Im putting the non exclusive tag on him and lets see the true interest and market for dak. Post injurys, cap year that will be down, and the state of things with the c word..
Yoi realize Dak had no issue with the 34 mil it was length

Yoi realize Dak had no issue with the 34 mil it was length
thats not a team friendly structure

he wantign a max deal and short length etc he wanted it all and now with the market even higher what will his new demands be..thats my point..what will he want this offseason? he may price himself our of dallas as 38-40mil and short deal with max guarantees vs 2 #1s and just going another route maybe the move..who knows maybe Dak softens his stance post injury etc

I think you misunderstood my post. The question was would there be lots of fans disgusted with them if they lived up to their contract figures? If Zeke and Jaylon were setting the field on fire every time they stepped on it, and were breaking records, would they be criticized compared to them way underperforming like now? I think that's the problem and issue.
