Dalton throws for 300+ yds: fans say keep him. Dak threw for 450+ yds 3 times, fans say cut him?

Please do everyone and yourself a favor: lay off the bong.

So this is your list?

Mahomes, Wilson, Jackson, Rodgers, Brees, Roethlisberger, Cousins, Allen, Tannehill.

Cousins, Allen, and Tannehill, no one would take over DAk. Laughable. Although I do like Tannehill and would have no problem with him as our QB.

Now to the rest of your list..........................Brees and Rothlisberger will be out of the NFL in a year or two at most.

So now the actual list is: Mahomes, Wilson, Rogers, Jackson..............Thats 4 in front of Dak, which I agree with for the most part. Anyone else?

How many times do you hear these clowns call Dak average? Do I really have to name names?

There's a few trolls. Outliers. Don't put everyone in that basket.

I happen to think he's a bit "average". He can look very good....and then he can look..."bad".

Having said that....let it be known I have been on record with him over Lawrence in a heartbeat.

Sacks taken by each quarterback:

2020: Dak sacked 10 times in 4-1/2 games (average of 2.2 sacks/game) Dalton sacked 18 times in 9-1/2 games (average of 1.89 sacks/game)

Career: Dak sacked 146 times in 68-1/2 games (average of 2.13 sacks/game) Dalton sacked 296 times in 142-1/2 games (average of 2.08 sacks/game)

So as you can see both in 2020 and in their careers Dalton has actually been sacked less per game than Dak so your statement is blatantly false.
Wow. 146 times. I don’t mind being proved wrong but I am watching Dalton standing in the pocket and taking these hard sacks when he could dip or throw it away. I would love to see Gilbert play some I thought he did pretty good for just coming in.

Yet the so called 'washed up' Dalton beat Philly in the 2nd to last week of the season to keep division title hopes alive.......something Dak failed to do....so what does that say about Dak? lol
he beat a philly team, with injuries, and their back up QB.....a team that's 4-11 not 8-7....so far Andy has beaten a bunch of 4-11 teams...oh wow...color me impressed...you bar is extremely low for Andy...I wonder why

come on dude, sober up

Yep. If Dalton was asking for 35 mil a year, Cowboys fans would throw him in the dumpster faster than you can say red rocket.
yes, Dalton asking for 35....he deserves to be in the dumpster. ....he is a 2-3M range QB at this point.

Wins??? Outside of his rookie season of 13-3 he has a combined record of 29-24.....barely above average.

Stats??? What has his personal passing stats gotten Dallas the last 21 games....a record of 10-11......below average.

Top 5 or 6???? Let's see: Mahomes, Wilson, Jackson, Rodgers, Brees, Roethlisberger, Cousins, Allen, Tannehill.....all better than Dak. Also, you have Murray and Herbert improving so that right there places Dak in the at best 10-13 range in terms of Top quarterbacks.
so let me ask you...all wins and losses are on the QB and no other part of the team is responsible for anything else in playing the games...correct?

and I was rolling on the ground when you said cousins....that was hilarious dude.

Tannehill has probably the best RB in the league...when you pass for 80 yards and 70 yards and win games because your RB just dominated the other team...then you are absolutely just sitting in the bus enjoying the ride.

I don't put Roth in top 10 any more......

I don't like Jackson as long term answer at QB...he runs well, he is not a good passer and running QB don't last...and he easily gets neutralized in playoffs against better defensive teams that put a spy on him and force him to pass from the pocket....

Allen is on the up tick and has had one good season, behind a strong defense......

while I agree with you 100 percent it’s more about the cost per yard not the total yards.

those that dislike dak and don’t want to sign him don’t feel the value is there at 35 mil....but for a dalton at 2 mil they are stoked
:hammer:

Crazy times we are living in.

As Jimmy Carter once said, "Life is unfayuh."

Get over it and I hope Dak gets over wanting to ransom the team's future with his salary demands.
I think Andy can play good ball for 2 years until we develop a young franchise QB.

Yep, I agree. And Jackson was the reason I said "for the most part".

why is it a ransom if you are asking for market price set by NFL QB market?

and Andy Dalton has clearly proven, that he can beat 4-11 teams, with the help of defense getting 3 turnovers per game, playing their back up QBs but can't beat average teams with their starting QBs, in fact he can't keep the team competitive against teams and give us a chance...except for one anomaly in Vkings, where the defense played outstanding and even that team is 6-9.

now, if your thought and plan is to tank, we should sign dalton, trade and cut a few pieces and get a top 5 pick, because we this 33 year old has (never) been, we have a snow flakes chance in hell..

or we could get lucky, play 10 teams, that are going to end up with 4 wins and have their back up QBs play....that has a chance of 1 in 10,000,000, 000, 000 of happening but hey, its a chance.

oh, tell me who your young franchise QB is?...how long will it take to develop him? and will he be asking for NFL starting QB money once he is developed? what happens if he doesn't develop? didn't we already do that with Dak and now you don't want to Pay? if we draft a QB to develop, then you are suggesting we shouldn't draft defensively?

seems to me you like the thrill of the draft and the misery of developing a player and then let them walk so you can do it all over again.

Or we can pay Dak what he wants --- 30 mil, 35 mil, 40 mil? --- and ignore our D?
Same with Zeke.
Fans like you don't know there is a cap and the D needs a 7-player overhaul.
I weep for the future with harbor boy fans like you around.
