Prescott suffered a gruesome compound fracture in Week 5, but that appears to be a non-issue for his long-term status with the team. Jones confirmed as much, stating he would "love" to have Andy Dalton back, but "at the end of the day, and Andy knows this, this is Dak’s football team." Jerry Jones mentioned waiting to see how the cap shakes out in 2021 before getting Prescott under contract, but deadlines have historically made deals happen in Dallas. Prescott's side previously turned down the Jones' offer of $33-$35 million annually with $100 million guaranteed — negotiation points that have likely increased since he last took the field.

And when it happened with Dak many said that it was mostly his fault for holding the ball too long. As the sacks that he took where either blamed on him or he was always expected to overcome a poor offensive line performance.

Circumstances are everything. Bad protection is bad protection but, when you've been playing with your receivers for 4 years, you are running the same offense and you have better talent along the OL, the same things shouldn't be happening to you. When you are a first year in the Offense as the backup with no training camp and no pre-season to speak of, it's a very different thing. You expect more out of the guy who is supposed to be the franchise but that's really a different discussion, to be honest. One is about the differences in Dak and Dalton and the other is about why we lost yesterday.

We were good because of Zeke and the OL..

The more we ask Dak to do the more average the results get.

He’s not a difference maker.

The more we ask Dak to do the more average the results get.

So you think the coaching staff walks into room and tells Dak they want him to do more and he does and thats why we lose? LOL

Its more like the team/defense sucks more and more around Dak so he is forced to do more in order to try and win.

Many many simple ways to analyze the team. Red blinking lights all over the place. Yet you cant figure any of it out.

Yet Dak won rookie of the year over Zeke.

The team has gotten worse as Dak has gotten better. Lets use Zeke as an example as a player that has gotten worse. And that vaunted Oline you spoke of, is that better or worse?

Defense, better or worse?

You claim to be a "team around the QB guy" but you suck at team analysis as much as you do at QB analysis.

Dak has gotten better..

He’s not capable of carrying a team and covering flaws like the OL and Zeke were.

Dak carried this team for 4.5 years, it's no surprise once he went down the bottom fell out.

Exactly! That’s how I know “Stats” is not “elite”.
I wasn’t. I’m just being honest. Yes, “stats“ could win the strike season JAG defense.

So if the team is winning and the QB is putting up huge stats, they are winning because of the QB? But when the QB is putting up huge stats and we are losing, then the QB isnt good enough and he isnt elite? Makes sense. :muttley:

Seattle playoff game. Tell me he didnt carry them then. Or are you going to give credit to everyone else but Dak?

Because when the defense was carrying Dalton the last 3 weeks you couldnt help but boost him. So I am curious to see your thoughts on this.

Like when Plummer “carried” the Cardinals in besting DALLAS in the playoffs.

Dak is way better. He is approaching elite status. But as you so correctly pointed out, no QB can beat the best teams in the NFL with our defense.

Your hero Zeke? Yah he really did a great job of carrying the team and the bad Oline this year. Fat boy couldnt even reach 1000 yards and 8 TD's.

Whst was his record vs teams with winning records during that time?
Prior to last season he was hovering around 50 percent winning percentage against winning teams. Try again. Or at least know what you’re talking about

So it’s NOT even 50%. Your substance abuse answers are awesome.
