Draft zone has a couple of posts about both lines of scrimmage and their priority.

In addition to QB, both defensive tackles and offensive tackles could all use upgrades as I'm not a Woods or Hill/Gallimore enthusiast to go along with the Smith/Collins OT injury uncertainty.

I was thinking one of those guys that lets the bull go through the cape?
Hey! I gotta survive to make my next paycheck!
Lol, I believe the word you’re looking for is a matador or as Corso would say “one of those guys that lets the bull go through the cape”. :lmao:

Thanks for the laugh buddy.

i'm not interested in moving on from Tyron yet.
but if they do...i'm intrigued by Va Tech's Christian Darrisaw.
i like Leatherwood alot...but this Va Tech kid intrigues me.

i also like Ohio State's Thayer Munford.

So Bobby Belt posted the below Tweet last week, and at the time, I didn't think much of it. Thought it was 100 percent speculation that this team would ever be looking into moving on from #77. But he doubled down on it last week, citing the team's frustration with his recent injury history and the fact that they can free up 10M more dollars of cap space to presumably sign their QB or add some cogs on defense. Still thought he was crazy.

But, as I was listening to a Jeff Cavanaugh live stream yesterday, he dropped a nugget I haven't heard before. Apparently, Tyron Smith is completely at odds right now with Cowboys medical personnel and has been folfur cessyears. They don't get along, which is why most of the work done on him is done elsewhere.

I don't see an heir apparent on this roster, but if this is what the Joneses are thinking, who starts at LT?

Do you need an all pro LT to be succussful

I think Tyron is only good for 7-9 games a year at this point.

I don’t expect him to be able to participate much in training camp. Would not be surprised to see him miss the first two games of the season and then have two stretches where he misses 2-3 games

He was a great player for several years but I’m afraid he’s done .

That would be fine by me and you don’t have to draft his replacement in the first round, either.

I don’t see anyone even giving up a 1st for a guy who is under contract, has missed an average of 3-4 games a season for the past 4 years and missed this entire season. I honestly think they would be lucky to get a 2nd. He could be very good for the next few years or he could spend that time on IR, that’s a huge risk to take on a guy his age with his history.

I honestly felt the same about the WFT getting anything for the older Trent Williams under similar to worse circumstances.

I get where you're coming from but I would hold out for a high pick plus. Tyron is younger and his contract is extremely reasonable for an All-Pro (albeit often injured LT).

This is all speculation of course. We'll see if or how it plays out. I'm definitely concerned about the LT position at this stage though.

Little disrespectful considering even with the injuries, dude is still a top 12 LT in the league imo.
THE PROBLEM^INJURIES^ What good is he to the team if he cannot play? Its a business.
