This is exactly the type of story, that has absolutely no legs, that media personalities use to grow their brand. Can't reveal sources, don't care if they're right or wrong, but get their name out there. Unscrupulous, but effective.

Ok, maybe not very effective in this case. It does not appear this story is gaining any traction in the larger media. Looks like everyone is treating for what it is---an unsubstantiated attention grab.

I have no idea whether this is true.

But I will say this: ever since the moment I saw part of Dak's ankle hanging the wrong direction, I have had concerns about whether he will make a full recovery.

Transition tag please.
They should have done that last season, do it now and it will be perceived as an insult.

We also need to remember the Joneses took 95% of the heat for not getting the deal done last year so there's more to this than just signing the QB for Booger. He loves him a friendly media.

It should be a crime to spread these rumors to get clicks on the internet.

It wouldn't surprise me if true, but with the actual official reports coming out and saying the exact opposite, I'm going to guess that this is BS.

Why must you be so condescending. You sit here making fun of fans of the guy meanwhile he may never play again. You're a special kind of low human being.
Should have taken the contract he was offered... He got greedy and it cost him.

You are not the only one, Dak felt the same way. His reaction was that his career was over.

No way. You get no compensation. If you transition tag Dak. Somebody else will sign him and you get nothing for him.

may as well not tag him.

You don't get 2 1st round picks if another team signs him after we 1st round tender him?

He would also cost approx $26 to 27 million for the season under that designation if no one else bites. This as opposed to $37+ million on a 2nd franchise tag.

No. It doesn't work like that. It basically makes Dak a restricted free agent.
